While they are at it, can they recast someone in place of Woody Harrelson? My suspension of disbelief is totally unsuspended just by the mention of his name. I like the guy but not for this.

Ron Howard to Assume Directorial Duties on the Untitled Han Solo Film

Lucasfilm is pleased to announce that Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ron Howard has been named director of the untitled Han Solo film.

...

The untitled Han Solo film is slated for a May 25, 2018, release.

They started filming back on January 30, so most of the filming's gotta be done. It'll be interesting to find out what he ends up re-shooting and whether they push back from that release date. Episode 9 isn't scheduled until May 2019, so if they want to push this one back to early December, they could. Aquaman is tentatively scheduled for Dec 21 and Mary Poppins on Christmas day.

I've heard other rumors that the coach was brought in because the previous directors could not get what they wanted out of him...more with their style versus his abilities. I have a feeling that this movie will get pushed back to maybe Thanksgiving. Can't do Christmas with Frozen II coming out.
