What Would Lucasfilm’s Rumored Jabba The Hutt Movie Look Like?

Look. Guillermo Del Toro has already thrown his hat in the ring. Yes, he is a director with a pretty specific vision. So...studio interference might be an issue as it was with the Han Solo flick. But unlike Lord/Miller, GDT will be very clear from the outset so hopefully they could navigate those issues. Plus, GDT is a bona fide director with a pedigree. L/M had never taken on a franchise tent pole. Lego movie, 21/22 Jump Street were all pleasant surprises with moderate budgets(in comparison to Star Wars). Get it done Lucasfilm. And let him use all the practical effects he wants.


Hey, Steve Bannon is out of a gig...so casting shouldn't be a problem.

I thankfully get to take Farce Friday 2 off this week (it's really number 3, but who's counting?) because the first wave of toys are on the shelves of various Walmarts up here... and I've got what I needed.

There are essentially no spoilers at all on the packaging unless you have the $30 CommTech Doohicky version 2.0. The single carded 3.75" figures are all generic cardbacks. The Black Series 6-inch have a couple of vague sentences.
 
Yeah I just can't help but think how the series would've changed if Mace and Anakin made the arrest on the Emperor when they had the chance.
