The Star Wars thread

for me it doesnt look like Yoda, something is just off about his appearance.

Dude, what's up with Yoda in the lower left picture? He looks like he OD'd on ****ing botox. Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi Yoda are the best. All the other ones can suck it. Yoda had a better sense of humor back then too.

I like VI the best...he looks Harold & Kumarred to the nth degree. Pack the bowl you must...There is no try only...what was i saying????

Isn't Carrie Fisher a little cookieputz???? I get what she's saying but she is like Joanie from Happy Days without the SEVERE mental instability at this point. You don't hear Mark Hamill bitching do you?

Use The Force For Good: Celebs Re-Enact ‘Star Wars’ Scenes For Stand Up To Cancer | Geeks of Doom

Along with the release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray tomorrow, Lucasfilm has teamed up with eBay, Major League Baseball, and a number of celebrities to urge fans to “Use the Force for Good” and donate to Stand Up to Cancer, the organization that’s tirelessly funding research in the fight against cancer.

In their mission to bring in as much money as possible to fight this terrible disease, a handful of celebrities were brought in to make a video. In it, the stars—which includes Aziz Ansari, Zach Galifianakis, Bill Hader, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, Jaime King, Seth Rogen, Andy Samberg, Emma Stone, and Samuel L. Jackson—re–enact various scenes from Star Wars.

You can see the video by heading below now. Might I add that it involves Miss Stone as Princess Leia? Because it does. Not Slave Leia, as I’m sure you all wanted, but Leia nonetheless. For the rest of you, it also has Galifianakis as Leia…so there’s that, too!

In Which Order Should You Watch Your Star Wars Blu-Rays? How I Changed Anthony Daniels’ Mind – UDPATED Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

LOOK, I can't stop you...but I beg you...SEND THE MESSAGE. DO NOT BUY THESE!!!!!! In the end it will mean nothing, but won't you feel better about yourself??? I worry about you. Bring a sweater and stop dressing up like a harlot. You are better than that.

there are enough changes in this release for me to stick to what i already have and just keep waiting to see if lucas will put out the movies untouched on bluray

Honestly, outside of the five seconds of the new Vader stuff (which I can understand people not liking. I don't like it but I consider it more of an annoyance than anything), what other changes make you feel this way? The Ewok's blinking? The lightsabers looking like they should have? The Wampa arm? I don't really think they're all that big in terms of anything. Again, other than the Vader one rubbing people the wrong way.

I think it's a gyp that you have to pay so damned much and you still get the 'prequels'. They should charge less BECAUSE those are included. It's like the Godfather 'trilogy'. But really, I understand your point and now that you put it that way it does seem kind of petty, but it's a principal thing. Even Spielberg realizes that constant tinkering is not the answer. And Ges...if you followed me you'd be a sheep too, so really I just put that pic up there for the lame 'ewe' joke. I guess I just want to see the movies I cherished as a kid/teen to be the way I remembered them, warts and all.

I think FANBOYS should be included in this simply for the end, when they are finally going to get to see the new Star Wars, and right before it cuts to black you hear...'what if it sucks?' Take that Lucas. And, oh yeah, take $89.95 for every damned one of these you are bound to sell. Damn your hide!

I understand the desire for people to have the OT for purchase. I can get behind that feeling. I just think some people carry their feelings a little too far on some of these changes. It feels like they hate them out of principle more than because of what they actually are. My personal feelings are that I like a lot of what he did with the special editions, and I feel he went a little overboard with some of the stuff too. Not enough to ruin my enjoyment though. I still dig 'em.

My dad pre-ordered it the day it was made available for pre-ordering, so I get to watch all the special features and **** without dropping a penny. :)
