The Star Wars thread

I cannot wait to see the forbidden love dance of the maiden wookies.

Would love for the original trilogy to come out. I would buy a Blu-ray player just for that. My kids need to see these movies with the added crap.

I'm just an odd ball...I much preferred the SEs. Most of the "added crap" were improvements...except for a couple of things.

As long as one of those couple of things rhymes with 'Speedo Loots Cursed".

Or "Ruke Leams as he Stalls"

Generally the city-scapes (especially Cloud City) and other background stuff was exceptional. The character additions not so much.

I'm personally more interested in a stand alone film than a way too late nostalgia trip starring the old crew, so that sounds good. A bit concerned about Star Wars saturation though, seems like there will be a lot of them coming out.

Eh, are you not curious about another Thor movie? Captain America? Avengers? No different really.

Curious in some cases, sure, but excited? A superhero movie isn't an 'event' anymore, it's just another superhero movie so I can't really say I'm excited about them. Hell, I haven't seen any of the Captain America or The Amazing Spider-man movies for instance. I was just a bit taken back, we went from no new Star Wars to three new movies and now another one, it's a bit jarring. I guess I'm just not used to the idea of there potentially being a whole bunch of different Star Wars movies coming out. I'm not complaining though, my concern is probably just me being surprised at how fast things are moving, which shouldn't have come as a surprise to me once Disney took over but I guess it did. Anyway, I love sci-fi settings so I'll take 'em from any franchise I can get, even if I'll have to stomach a couple of movies of old, fat, doing-it-for-the-money versions of my childhood heroes.
