Actually think this is where the danger of disappointing lies. Abrams movie will be what it is...but this off canon/spin off stuff...has to really bring it. And there are more people who think Edwards flick is gonna be better, etc.

Yep, didn't see that one coming. Very surprised and pretty happy about it. There was so much left unanswered about said character and wondered if he/she would reappear. Will be interesting so see where they go with it now.

I was talking about the other character. Vader appearing was publicized in advance of the show...the other character, that was a surprise.

The First Star Wars Spinoff Movie Is 'Rogue One'

The first Star Wars spinoff movie be written by Chris Weitz and directed by Gareth Edwards, is called Rogue One and stars Felicity Jones.

It will shoot this summer on my side of the pond, but will take until December 26th to make it into cinemas. And it came fro the mind of Industrial Light & Magic CCO John Knoll, who will produce with Simon Emanuel, Jason McGatlin, Kathleen Kennedy, Tony To and John Swartz.

And then Star Wars Episode 8 will come on May 26th 2017…

20 New 'Star Wars' Books Coming To Fill In The Story Between 'Return Of The Jedi' And 'The Force Awakens'

EW reports that a new book series, "Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens," will bring at least 20 new titles that will fill in the story gap between "Star Wars: Episode VI — Return Of The Jedi" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." These will range from novels to young adult titles to stickerbooks, each containing Easter Eggs that hint at events in 'The Force Awakens.'
