"Point Roberts is like the foreskin of America; cutting it off probably would have been more convenient, but keeping it has some benefits."

I've been to Point Roberts several times, it really is a cool and unique place. You get bald eagles sitting in trees and killer whales jumping around just a few hundred yards off the beach, it really is a beautiful place. Along with retirees Pt. Roberts is a place for Americans who have jobs in Vancouver to live, like embassy folks and border and customs agents who work at the border or Vancouver airport. Or if you get some high paying job in Vancouver and you don't want the immigration hassle.........move to Pt. Roberts.

I have a couple of Canadian pals who live pretty close and they will drive down to Pt. Roberts just to get gas, shop and pick up a 24 pack. It saves them quite a few bucks.
