Chicago murder update. May was the bloodiest month so far this year. 66 people killed and almost 400 shot. So far this year more than 1,500 shot, and 250 killed. The standing joke now is the TSA lines at the airports are saving lives. If you get off the mean streets for the 3 hours they recommend, you stand a better chance to stay alive. CPD is saying it's attributed to gang violence, an unusual amount of guns in the street, and weak gun law enforcement. Film at 11

There's one thing in Chicago's favor... It's not Detroit...

weak gun law enforcement how? ChiTown has among the strictest gun control in the nation.

Absolutely true statement. But they can't/won't blame it on the Politicians so just the criminals have guns

oh yeah I get that now. law-abiding citizens with guns (legally) can stop violence rather than wait several minutes for the cops to arrive. all those laws I gather, really do put a crimp on the LEO's efforts to help others.

stop me if I'm wrong.

While your first statement is partially true, in some cases but not many, the "areas" these shootings are taking place are very high crime areas and always have been. The real problem is with the courts and liberal judges who continually give a slap on the hand to these perpetrators. The LEO who risks his/her life to handle one of these instances, then goes to court and see's "justice in action" has to wonder, why are we doing this?
