The totally bizzare and WTF Thread....

Yesterday my wife had to attend the funeral of her uncle who passed away at 88 up in Solvang. Her and my daughter drove her parents to attend it. After the service her father who is 86 struck up a conversation with the priest who preformed the mass. It turns out that over the course of their conversation they found out that they had both lived in the same town back in Ireland and actually were in the same class in the high school there but had not had any contact in close to 70 years. Small World indeed.

Anybody follow up on the idiot that kicked his wife/girlfriend on the side on their car then punched her before pouring her back into the car? I can't find anything

The Chula Vista knucklehead who kicked his girlfriend turned himself in to the PO lice and is being held on $180,000 bail. Probably a flight risk so close to Mexico

I worked the FYF Festival last night at Expo Park. Concert was attended by older teens, 20's and 30 something mostly who were rather mellow. My partner and I were covering a light controlled crosswalk just south of USC as the EXPO trains were going east and west down Exposition. I can't tell you how many knuckleheads ran across Expo ( 2 lanes each side with a double train track, so approx 90' or so) without a green light.
One guy ran across and was missed by an east bound train by less than 10 feet. Naturally the train driver slammed on the brakes with everyone inside jolted forward. We grabbed him on our side while he and his friends were laughing their a$$es off.
Two LAPD motors saw the whole thing and cited him. Due to the circumstances he could have been charged with heavier fines for injuries or damage on the train itself but it was a "keep the peace" mission.
Why would anyone risk life and limb to be detained for 20/30 more seconds? I really don't get it
