Well since you asked..........ever since the N Hollywood shootout more PDs have switched from the old faithful Remington 870 Shotgun and gone to the AR15. Our units had them inside the car where the 870s used to be and we carried a beanbag shotgun in the trunk. Even some of our motor officers carried AR15s on their bikes. Most So Cal PDs did not want to have to resort to what LAPD did by driving to the B & B Guns during the North Hollywood shootout to get AR15s.

Once the popo was outgunned by the bad guys they had to go to the AR15s.

Figured this belongs here instead of the random thoughts thread. At church with the family this morning and was trying to get lil Miss jammer settled back on the kneeler after communion. So I ask/tell her "remember we're supposed to be thinking about Jesus, what do you think about Jesus?"

Now our church has a big statue of Jesus on the cross above the altar like many others so naturally she looked at it before replying "Daddy I think he stuck the landing"

No she didn't say it quietly, yes others noticed....
