We will get bludgeoned by them.
I hope Blake is not being allowed to do much of anything.
His judgement is atrocious and he spends like a drunken sailor in a whore house.
A new management group needs to re-work this line up in the off season.

I will say, if Blake is not going to do anything to improve this team, it has little chance to get out of the first round. Might as well sell off the UFA's that he will not be able to sign next year. Get some assets that might help with some trades in the summer. Doing nothing is not an option IMO.

Seems like the kind if move Blake would make. Maybe a multi-team deal that would also send a LD to L.A.

NJ and a 3rd party team. NJ eats 50% of the salary and team #3 eats 25%.

There was this Hanifin guy, but he is gone. I also hear that Chychrun is not loving Ottawa and he will probably be the next player to leave that org. Rumor is he will no resign with them after next year.

NHL Network just put up a list of 6 DMen as potential trade targets. Chychrun is on that list. I wonder if he'll be a healthy scratch against the Kings tonight.

Tyler Madden was one of the hottest NCAA forward prospects at the time of that trade. He was nominated for the Hobey Baker in 2020. I would say a high end prospect plus a 2nd and 4th for a guy who struggled to crack 20 goals is more than fair.

Toffoli is a better and more productive player today than he was in 2020.

All that said I’m not all that interested in giving up too much to bring him back unless there’s no hope for Arvidsson coming back this season.

I like to think of Kevin Fiala as the Swiss Jack Hughes. So Toffoli will be fine as long as he plays next to Kev.

This is true, but Madden was also looked at at being very undersized. So, while he did well in the NCAA and played very well in the Beanpot, there were serious questions on whether he would make it to the NHL.
