The Trade Deadline Thread

It amazes me how little it takes to get some of these players. Caps retaining 50% on Mantha. An extra second is always good to have and a 4th is a fun crap shoot but you gotta retain salary on a 20 goal scorer to get that?

Makes me want to play the GM game. Grundstrom and Kaliyev to SJ for Duclair. Add a 5th round pick if needed. 50% retained. And keep up Turcotte that way too.

was thinking along the same lines, Duc would be a decent add

The Caps retained 50% in that other trade. I am sure some teams would retain, just need to add a sweetener. Can also move a player out if that helps. (depending who).

Duclair seems be a little bit of a PLD. He is there sometimes, and not others. He has been benched this year due to lack of effort.

Yes he has. I remember the gm, lazy touch up and goal was challenged and was offside, he was benched for a gm after that.

Another one dying on the vine so to speak. A yr to late IMO. Unless RBB has more moves to make. Dont think this team has quite enough and was hoping to stand pat, or at a min do not let go of the 1st.

I like the top 9 if everyone is healthy. 4th line could use size up the middle. I still think Blake makes a move to shore that up. Hopefully.
