What are you reading? What was the last book you enjoyed?

Just read the first two books in the Aubrey/Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian (Master and Commander & Post Captain). After you get in to the flow of the period language and nautical-speak, the books are riveting. A nice dry wit thrown in for good measure. Looking forward to finishing the series.

excellent series. I've read them all. . .twice. It's been a few years, but i loved HMS surprise and Wine dark sea. You'll be able to speak like a pirate, or a royal naval officer, by the time you're done with the series.

haven't been reading much in awhile, but I finished this book the other day

Definitely was engaging. Usually this kind of genre doesn't interest me, but since pretty much everyone who's read this book has raved about it I decided to read it for myself.

just finished book 2 of Joe Abercrombie's "First Law" trilogy "Before They Are Hanged"... which must say for his 2nd book (much better than the first) was pretty damn good and i really want the 3rd book now

jumping back to george r. r. martin's "A Storm of Swords" now

If you are gonna read Dresden you need to pick up

Just as good of a series...much darker. Dresden and John Taylor are terrific characters with great supporting casts.
