What are you reading? What was the last book you enjoyed?

Talk slower...

lol.

Orphy, i've developed a full proof method for reading Finnegan's Wake. any of Joyce, really...

take one bottle of Bushmills, open book, start drinking, read out loud. once you begin slurring, those 957 letter words will really begin pop right off the page!

That sounds like a pretty good idea! :D

Good to know, I have that on my to do list. His long form stuff ain't too bad, a little raw, but the kid has got a lot of his Dad's talent. Man I love short stories...I think your recommend just moved this up a few notches, thanks.

No problem, i havent read "Heart Shaped Box" by him but the plot didn't seem interesting to me. Another good short story book is "Haunted" by chuck palahniuk but i am sure you have heard of it by now if not read it.

I just finished Red Star Rogue by Kenneth Sewell. It's good overall, especially if you're a Cold War sub warfare buff like me. The only qualms I had about it was that the author was a little repetitive with some of his facts and the fact that because a lot of information is still classified you pretty much have to settle for speculation and inference.

I am now reading Stalking the Red Bear.

Killer stuff!

Not exactly a literary history in terms of contiunuous, thorough description of important events that influenced reading worldwide, but rather an author's subjective reflection of that events and his own reading experiences.
