That's why we fans find it baffling how the Kings manage to lose to crappy teams like Chicago and SJ earlier this season. Playing down to the level of your opponents, especially when those opponents are out of the playoff race, is not a good formula for making it into the playoffs.

Its effort and energy. Just look at how many Jet plays have been broken up by active sticks and commitment to team defense without lazy penalties. However, it is almost inevitable they will have to face a PP soon.
