***LA Kings @ St. Louis Blues GDT 3/13/24 4:30pm on TNT, max, & BSW***

The Kings must have lost because otherwise people wouldn't be blaming the announcers. And now, it's even the helmets at fault. Folks, they just got beat by a hot goaltender--get over it.

well sure if you're going to bring logic and rationality to the table...but we simple folk prefer to blame the black cats and broken mirrors and spells cast by evil spirits....

No. It’s the helmets.

They should add LEDs to them next year.

Kings had a great 1st period, but they lost because they couldn't convert, Talbot gave up a really soft goal, they got frustrated, and then they basically gave up. Throwing no look passes across the middle of the ice isn't going to win games. They had their feet moving, and a shoot mentality in the 1st. They threw that out the window after they went down 0-2.

Glad to see Turc get an assist. He put in the work all game.

Silver lining may be Juice getting on a hot streak.

No, they lost because of their helmets.

We're never going to know from 1 game to the next if the Kings are going to win a game. They go from looking liken crap to great to crap again. They need to put a stretch of wins together if they want to do anything in the playoffs. Also, do the Kings have a drill where they need to score 2 goals in 3 minutes with the goalie pulled? If not they should. Then they'd know what to do in these situations & not fart around on the ice. And I guess I should give some credit to Binnington who had a great game. No, screw that guy.

If they made them look like Cylons that would be so cool.

Still feel as this team has no identity, maybe even less so under Hiller. We have the Danault line and like.. a few roamers now it seems between lines (55/9). I feel the literal constant line juggling and 11/7 thing is not working esp when your 1C is 36 going on 63 years old.

lack of consistency from one game to the next will hurt the whole identity thing.

The identity is defense, tight checking and an elite penalty kill. Those are the exact things the Kings did against the Islanders, see Patrick Roy’s post game comments. And those are the exact things the Kings did against St. Louis. The difference was Jordan Binnington. He stole that game for St. Louis. It happens.

What lack of consistency? The Kings played the same game against the Islanders as they did against the Blues. Hell I’d say they were a bit better against the Blues. The Blues goaltending was the difference. And mix in a soft goal that put the Kings behind the 8 ball early.

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed within +/- 4 mins of 1:57 of the second for a various amount of points:

0:57-2:57 (3 points):
rinkrat

19:57 of first to 3:57 of second (2 points):
Byron

18:57 of first to 4:57 of second (1 point):
Guinevere

Short winners list, congratulations to all three of you. Missed the game last night celebrating the 20th anniversary with Mrs Jammer. She did graciously let me check the score a couple of times and by the end of the first I'd seen all I needed to see. This team can't count on anything, I hope they figure that out quickly. Sounds like Turcotte is still progressing, hope that keeps up. This team needs some coattails to ride.

Was happy to see Kempe, Fiala and Byfield all logged more minutes than Kopitar last night. The Captain was skating in sand all game long. But I do hope QB starts contributing more to the offense once again. He has to carry the scoring if Turcotte remains on that line.

That ultrasoft first goal was a killer - a prayer shot from 50' that Talbot completely blew. Took the air right out of the team's sails.
