All Things:AMC television

Regarding TWD - I really enjoyed the episode regardless of whether we heard anything on Glenn (I have come to believe that AMC is going to tease the heck out of that and we won't find out for awhile). I finally understand fully where Morgan is now coming from and it will really make things interesting going forward. I now truly feel that Morgan dies this season. If the series has shown anything it is that those who show compassion are those that get sacrificed. Now I see how it will really end up being a battle between Rick/Carol and Morgan for the rest of the season. Nicely done by Gimple.

And for Eastman, played by John Carroll Lynch, .... WOW! That guy is really a great actor and it was a great portrayal.

Really liked the episode and the change of pace as well, except for the part where Eastman decided it would be better to expose his back to a zombie than just pop it hard in the face with his staff to kill it or at least knock it back. What is the opposite of plot armor?

Really liked Eastman's tale of revenge and the reveal that he actually went through with it.

Morgan is going to get people killed with his moronic plan to keep Wolf Dave Navarro alive.

As annoyed as I was about the timing of this episode after what happened to Glenn, I really enjoyed the episode. It was so well-written and acted. It was just a really beautiful episode.
I'm glad we were finally able to fill in the blanks on Morgan, and I appreciate that he found peace in a time like this, but let's be real....going by the whole "I won't kill any living thing, even if it deserves to die" is noble in the regular world, but it does NOT work in the zombie apocalypse and Morgan is probably going to find that out in a really rough way this season.

I thought it was great episode. Taking a step back. To know that Eastman was going to die from the start yet being upset after it happened is a testament to the actors and writers to get the viewer invested in such a short time.

Will Morgan pay for not dispatching the threat when he could. This show often repeats that message that if you don't take care of the threat right away it comes back to burn you.

Don't like the games with the credits. Wi

+1 on liking the episode. I think someone else will pay for Morgan's pussification....and then he won't be able to live with the guilt and off's himself or lets himself get bit....essentially offing himself.

Yes, and it was right there in the preview for next week with what's-her-name going all Carol on us and saying, "Kill or be killed."

First off...How cool does Into the Badlands look? I'm in.

And after much gnashing of teeth, and plenty of rewatchings, The Preacher trailer is starting to sit right with me. If you listen to the voice of Jesse, instead of the actor portraying him, it works. And Cassidy, while not the blonde Elvis Costello looking vamp, looks like he is going to be the charming and scary character I remember. A bumpy start, and I am sure it is going to throw me, especially at first, but I am back on board.

Wow, what an episode of TWD. First off, I hate when you are watching someone who you love as an actor, knowing that it's just a one time guest shot. And it's like...well he's off the board now for future characters. Lennie James also, as usual, was terrific. The two of them were so good that I could almost buy into the Aikido philosophy regardless of how ridiculous it seems.

And yes, it was a prick move leaving the events of last week to a 2 week hiatus...but brilliant. Scott Gimple has single handedly taken this show to another level. And I really do think, like I read the other day, that not even Rick is safe. And that's fine. I won't even begin to speculate on that anymore...I will just watch as things unfold. And I am already preparing for people to complain about how little actually HAPPENS this season, because I think they are all in on event's taking place in real time mode that they have shown so far. Who cares, if the storytelling stays as good as it's been.

Man though, Morgan...what the hell are you thinking. Clearly that won't end well. But I am in the group that thinks Morgan is safe...if not those around him. The crew knows what a good thing they have with Morgan/Lennie James, and I don't think they are willing to close that door yet.

Poor goat...why did she have to get out.

Count me as one who liked that last episode. Eastman was great, what a great actor!

I had previsouly stated that Morgan had not fully broken yet: I was wrong, he clearly had. But it seems after his "treatment" he swung back the other way too far. Viewing "every life as precious" is commendable but in certain situations it is dangerous. Let's face it, even in the real world, some people just "need killin". In the WD world it is even more true, not killing that Wolf scumbag was a bad choice.

I don't think the writers are very in tune to who the fans think are the most important characters. Back to back episodes without Daryl, Carol, Glenn, or Michonne? NOBODY CARES!!!!

Well, maybe that's just me. Zero chemistry between Rick and Jessie. The pregnancy reveal was inevitable, I saw the 'doctor' kiss coming from 2 miles away, and who wouldn't expect there to be zombies in the sewer? Was any of that really supposed to surprise us? And since I'm ranting, how many times did we need to see Deanna with crazy eyes and her mouth agape? I hate being Debbie Downer but that episode was very disappointing.
