All Things:AMC television

well then, you can just ignore me cause i apparently dont know what im talking about :)

Haha...no, it's easy to not think of Walt as a killer. And that was a weird moment when he surprised himself/flinched at shooting Mike. The only problem is that it's an anachronism with 'Heisenberg' who Walt fully is now. The scene where he wanted the guy to say his name...that was uncomfortable and telling. He's playing gangster now cause it's the only game thats any fun anymore. The way he got with Jesse...it was almost tantrum-y. He's so far over the bend at this point.

And once again...**** you Walter!

By the way, I recently heard that it will not be a year to the back 8. Apparently they will show in January, hence the 'last episode of this year' tag at the end of the preview. So that's a damned sight better.

you got my hopes up and all but then at the end of the episode they said breaking bad would be back next summer. :(
btw, i loved that last scene with hank. ruh roh walt!

I was waiting to see what the reveal would be for the last minutes of the show. I knew it couldn't end all nice and happy. Man, what a reveal... Hank's face was perfect. Some nuggets I loved in this episode: Walter sitting across from the lady (her name escapes me) and deciding whether or not to kill her, Walt and Hank talking about simpler times then crossfading into a shot of Walt with the chem-suit, the pile of money obviously, Walt's visit to Jesse where you weren't quite sure if he was gonna kill him after their good old days talk... Even Jesse grabbed a gun once he saw who was knocking on the door ("I am the one who knocks!"). In a way, giving that kind of money to a drug addict might have been Walt's way of killing him off... but that doesn't fit with the way the episode ended for Walt so I don't think so.

There were some nice callbacks throughout the episode... The fly right in the beginning started it off. I had completely forgotten that book though so the reveal was very satisfying. Here are some more (spoilers obviously):

And really, it's gonna be next summer? **** me.

Wow, just wow.

Perfect cliff hanger. Just when I'm thinking Walter can't be out, what are they gonna do for 8 more episodes.

Loved this episode, it may be their best one ever. The use of music and mise-en-sc?ne in the montages was perfect, I felt like I was watching a movie.

Yes the little things like the risen as well, just a hint of the past. True lovers of this show that know all these little details must have been out of their minds last night. I don't know how they are gonna top it with 8 more but I trust they will. Let's hope it's in January and not next summer.

Yeah, sorry guys. I had heard on Geektime on sirius 101 that it was coming back in January. That was not right apparently. It was a satisfying conclusion. Very Godfather-esque w/the killings. The scene with Jesse was terribly sad and uncomfortable. You knew Jesse wasn't sure if he was there to kill him or not, the sly look on walters face when Jesse sheepishly hid the bong(Walt's 'See I told you' look was priceless), The rycin in the hat after saying 'you think I would just get the list and kill you in front of everyone'...lots of good moments. And Marie, finally saying 'look, take your kids already', long overdue. There's something terribly appropriate to Hank having his 'a-ha' moment while dealing a deuce(in another persons house...ewwwww).
Too long of a wait.

By the way, watched all 4 eps of Hell on Wheels last night. Such a good show. Was worried that they wouldn't be able to reel things back to the rairoad, but they did, and they did it real well. Like the passage of time and the changes. Bohannon is just a badass. Hey, if they wanna remake Escape from New York still...there is your guy. Common is a decent actor too. Somehow this show looks a lot 'bigger' than it did first season. Good use of their budget. Watch season 1 on netflix...you might dig it.

One of the best BB episodes ever. Definitely a whiff of the Godfather with the simultaneous killings.Great cliffhanger. A year to wait...

BREAKING BAD Creator Vince Gilligan Talks the Mid-Season Finale and Planning for the Series Finale | Collider

But was Walt really telling the truth about being out of the game? After all, Breaking Bad doesn?t usually gloss over the gritty truths of the drug trade, so how did Walt slip its grasp so easily? But Gilligan, according to TV Line, reveals he believes Walt is sincere,

?We can either take him at his word or not ? he is of course infamous for being one of the world?s greatest liars ? but I tend to believe, personally, that he was telling [Skyler] the truth when he told her that. We?re still working out the final eight episodes [to air next summer on AMC], and my writers and I still don?t know how it?s all going to quite lay out?. But it?s looking like he?s out of the business, for sure.?

...For anyone concerned that Jesse also being ?out? and Walt settling his debt with him means less Aaron Paul, Gilligan soothes our fears:

?He?s going to have plenty to do. It would not be the same show without Jesse Pinkman on it and Aaron?s wonderful contributions?. He?s still got a lot of stuff to do yet.?

(Like magnets, bitch! How do they work?)

So in other words ? we?ll find out next year. Gilligan was also tight-lipped about Walt?s cancer diagnosis, but does say that Walt?s doctor?s visit is no red herring ? everything on the show is deliberate.

Finally, when asked about any pressure he feels about the series finale, Gilligan responded,

?There?s no way to please everybody. In fact, the most dangerous thing is to try to come up with that ending that pleases the widest swath of people. Emotionally speaking, it?s ****ing anvils hanging over us! It?s like the idea that the last batter to get struck out is to blame for the team?s entire loss. So yes, the ending will be judged with more scrutiny than any of the 61 episodes that come before it.?

Somehow though, I?m not worried.
