All Things:AMC television

Yeah there is that...but you could argue that bike gal may have been turned and then bisected...like well zombie. From the brief glimpse we got, T-Dog looked to be hollowed out stem to stern and, it was hard to tell, but his head looked a little iffy too. They should be a little more clear about the line. I think if you are food, as opposed to someone who just gets nibbled, that should be the dividing line.

I think the way it goes is that if the zombies use you for food, you get eaten too much to become a zombie. Assuming they get to the BRAINS! as zombies in other stories like to drone on about, that could be what does it.

Carl having lied so that zombie Lori is running around would be ludicrous, especially considering he was there when Sophia was revealed.

The first two episodes were almost as good as this one and no one in the cast had to die in those, so we should be okay. They are definitely killing a lot more zombies this season than in the last one.

T-Dog taught us another important pointer in surviving the zombie apocalypse: Always check your six. Always. If you aren't moving, you'd best check your back every few seconds.

How did the actor get the name IronE (I swear the last letter was capitalized when I saw it) anyway? Did his parents really love them movie Iron Eagle?

TAKE THAT YA HATERS!!!!!!!

AMC and Netflix Near Deal to Bring THE KILLING Back for Season 3 | Collider

The Killing returns. Months after AMC cancelled the drama series following its second season, it appears that a deal is being hammered out to now bring the show back. Deadline reports that The Killing producer Fox TV Studios was relentless in their pursuit to keep the show alive, and after talking with a number of potential buyers they finally found a partner in Netflix. AMC will be teaming up with the streaming juggernaut for the third season, with AMC airing the episodes first before they go up on Netflix. Hit the jump for more.

The mystery series grabbed a lot of attention during its first season and stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman broke out in a big way, but many viewers were frustrated when producers declined to wrap up the first season’s case during its finale. Viewership took a steep drop in season two, leading to AMC’s decision not to renew the show for a third go-around.

Deadline purports that this new decision may actually be good for AMC, as the network is looking at losing a few of its flagship series soon. Breaking Bad comes to an end after next season, Man Men only has two seasons left, and the future of Hell on Wheels is now in limbo as series showrunner John Shiban recently jumped ship following a season three pick-up. They still have megahit The Walking Dead, but their bullpen is starting to look thin.

Just caught up with the WD. And to second what someone already said, that is going to take a while to sink in. It was pretty damn shocking. Lori at times annoyed me as much as the next guy but it was still sad to see her go.

Plus she was a MILF. For your consideration:

Rick's reaction hit me hard, man that was good!

And yeah, sucks about T-Dog!

And on another topic, JD I'm with you about the Killing! Cannot wait till it comes back.

I am with you KP especially about Rick's reaction. Andrew Lincoln is really a good actor and has really brought Rick to life for me. And she is a nice looking lady! Ha-ha!

A thought just occurred to me: How the hell will they feed the baby? Better find a town and hope a store has some formula left and quick.

And the group will be really be in a tough spot now, down two members, a baby to take of, Rick will be a mess, a dude who needs crutches to get around. Should be interesting.

Even if the prisoner didn't help Rick out they were going to have to take the two of them in to keep their numbers up. Should be real drama to watch play out!

Love how they already have the phone. The governor scenes were great. Darryl is gonna be a great daddy :sarcasm:

Yeah Governor scenes were very good. Rick is in a whole world of crazy - hope he gets back. And what happened to Lori was quite a shock ... Wow ...

I'm not buying that all the townspeople would be into zombie boxing. I am also not big on my time being wasted with Carol being presumed dead. She is probably in court being sued by Jamie Lee Curtis for stealing her hair.

Michonne and Rick going to town on zombies was pretty nice. I am going right to the cutlery store that somehow continually survives at South Coast Plaza when the zombie apocalypse hits.

I was hoping that when Rick picked up the phone, a voice from the other side would say "Mindcrime".

Darryl is gonna be a great daddy :sarcasm:

Seems like they're really playing up how much Darryl likes everyone and feels like part of the group this season. No doubt to help Darryl decide who to side with when he inevitably runs into Merle again.

One other thing - after talking to my friends who didn't read the graphic novel/trades. Anyone else think they have cranked up the violence and gore this year? I mean it is cool and all but was the whole part with Rick (when he found where Lori was) really needed? Did anyone else kind of feel that was just gore for gore's sake? The story didn't feel like drama at that point. More like gratuitous violence/gore. It really didn't do anything for the story except for Rick to have an outlet for his heartache. I am wondering if they have just crossed a line ...

I thought he was going to dig into the stomach for her ring or something, but didn't he pick that up from the ground?

It seemed to me like they needed to establish Rick was losing it in order to bring in the phone calls.

Agree they had to take Rick to all sorts of crazy town stuff. Just not sure where it is really going.

Regarding what he picked up from Lori's death room - I thought that was the shell that Carl fired into her??!! I also thought he would cut open "fat and dumb and full" zombie for her remains to bury them but he lost it at that point. Maybe it was her ring - I couldn't tell and who the heck is on the phone??

Whatever it just seemed like the crazytrain arrived last night on the show!

Yeah, it was the shell casing. Sooooo Lori got consumed. That was interesting. Poor Glenn. Poor Darryl. Both of those moments made me sadder than the deaths that inspired them. Darryl has really stepped up and become the soul of the group. The single most indispensible member. The coming battle between FAMILY and family is going to be really interesting. The governor stuff was a little 'twirling moustache-y' for a character that had so far been handled very cautiously. A little disappointing. The zombie fight club was an element from the comic that was shoehorned in(badly) and just felt out of context. The ringing phone...now that was an element that was handled far better. I thought that was going to be left out, and that maybe it should have been. Glad to be wrong there. And yeah, clearly Carol is still alive.
