‘The Walking Dead’ Stars Felt Sick after Reading the Season 6 Finale Script
http://collider.com/the-walking-dead-season-6-finale-andrew-lincoln-lauren-cohan/

Oh christ...enough already. We get it we get it...lots of people are going to die...yadda yadda yadda. I have been smacked across the face with this mackerel for so long now I really couldn't give two shiny ****s. Can we just get on with it already instead of reading about how deeply affected each and every cast member was, while Kirkman counts his money and morbidly giggles about all the characters he is gonna kill. For ****s sake...when Walking Dead can gut punch with a well placed death like Game of Thrones does, then I will take notice. But when it's simply lip service and attempting to create drama by killing characters arbitrarily...well...JUST STOP.

AMC Orders Kevin Smith Late-Night Talk Show
http://screenrant.com/kevin-smith-talk-show-amc/

AMC has had astounding success with genre hit The Walking Dead, a series so popular that a talk show focusing on each episode has also racked up impressive viewing numbers for the network. Talking Dead, hosted by comedian and famed nerd Chris Hardwick, lets viewers interact with cast and crew from the zombie drama as they dissect every facet of the episode that’s just aired.

With viewers ready and willing to watch people sitting around talking about TV shows, it seemed a no-brainer to give Kevin Smith his own unscripted series on AMC as well. Since 2012, the writer/filmmaker has hosted installments of Comic Book Men in his own New Jersey comic shop, Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash. Now the network is planning to give Smith an even bigger platform to discuss every obsessive corner of entertainment and fandom.

The late-night show, with the working title Geeking Out, will be hosted by Smith and Heroes franchise alum Greg Grunberg. The half-hour episodes will, according to the official synopsis, “take a timely look at pop culture through a fanboy lens.” Like a conventional talk show, it will feature celebrity interviews and preview clips of their latest projects. There will also be fan discussions and “out-of-studio” segments.

I dig this. Maybe it can eventually become Attack of the Show pt2. Grunberg is a good guy too...

Well that TWD mid-season premiere was epic. One of the best hours of TV nevermimd one of the best Eps of TWD as well.

Ooooh. I so disagree. Such a bill of goods. Lotsa people dying...of very little consequence. Who gives a rats ass. Rick basically killed a family line. One that should have died, because the males were weak and would have sired more loser kids. And Jessie was a terrible mom...WHO CARES? Oooh But Carl will be wearing a monocle from now on...WHO CARES? AND the wolfs heart grew 2 sizes bigger that day. Feh. What a terrible bait and switch. ****ing priest didn't even die. Jesus...big pool of fire...who knew the walkers were lemmings. THIS WAS PERHAPS THE WORST EPISODE OF TWD. It made me look forward to fear the walking dead. **** was weak...weak.

I say this with love, but JD, I think you need to stop doing crack, because it is really affecting your perception of quality programming.

Nonstop awesome. I watched the first scene again after it was over because the a-hole gang leader was just so good and it was nice seeing him eat the biggest sandwich of all.

I found the scene with the deaths very chilling, because I did like Jessie a little but most of all you see Rick helpless to be able to really talk some sense into her and there is zero time and then she's gone and he has to chop her hand off to free Carl. Then the d-bag kid does his thing and Michonne has to impale him.

Rick probably should have prepped Jessie before going out, telling her that the dumb kid could get dumb and she has to be ready to let him go in an instant so her other kid still has a mother. Making that decision ahead of time and having it stored may have actually given her a chance to break away in time.

Liked seeing dumbass priest finally figure things out and totally enjoyed when the town (what was left of it) came out and all fought off the zombies. Inspiring, a little hokey, but totally worked for me.

And they got me again. I was about to get really, really upset when Glenn was getting swarmed. All that BS before and now they are going to kill him in the very first episode after it. Arseholes. At least Carl's eye screams "look, we're following the comics!" which means we are supposed to expect THAT to happen in the finale with the same guy.

Minus a few points for use of instant night time darkness.

Of course the Wolf has a British accent in real life.

Thought it completely made up for the crappy mid season finale. Yes there is a little cheese with the town taking on the walkers but a little over the top stuff is fine. After all it's a show about zombies. They really played it close to the comics with Carl and the townsfolk rising up. They did it in such a way that was plausible specially with the source material.

Wait. After all that build up..."oh, not everyone's gonna make it out of this brutal episode", just to see great tension RUINED by a)Darryl going all first strike, and B) Abraham showing up at THE ABSOLUTE PERFECT RIGHT TIME, and the almost comical "let's put on A cow costume and the rest of the herd will be none the wiser" bullcrap, I am the one on crack? Wait, what? Zero meaningful deaths. Zero. The show course corrected by removing a bunch of awful characters. Spring cleaning does not equal drama. And there was ZERO tension in the walk through the horde. Reminded me of the episode seasons ago where they hid unDer cars for 40 minutes. They even had a meeting during it. It was just another wheel grinding episode of NO CONSEQUENCE with that trite scene with Andrew Lincoln ACTING just to have Carl squeeze his hand...music swells, all is good. I deserve better. You deserve better. This show is a lie. It's The Walking Dead, well, as long as by Dead you only mean people who are in the guest starring credits. You can only cry wolf so many times.

By the way...really loved the Montage of zombie O-faces during the ridiculously simple resolution of the zombie infestation. I'm surprised they didn't just jingle a huge set of keys over a cliff,

Oh...and Rick should be removed from leader contention. Stupid, selfish decisions and poor impulse control make you a republican presidential nominee, not a leader.

come on...nobody else has an opinion on twd?

only reason i give a crap about it is because i have invested so much time watching it. you brought up a lot of good points about pretty much everything, at this point i am just going through the motions. I'm more pumped that Better Call Saul started back up again last night!

Hell yeah. They know they have us.

A Link Between Daryl And Negan That Viewers Missed In ‘The Walking Dead’ Midseason Premiere
http://uproxx.com/tv/will-negan-kill-daryl-on-the-walking-dead/

Watch the clip at the bottom of the link. There is a car in the far distance. If they have the balls to actually kill Darryl I will be as impressed as I will be upset.

Watched it last night and I'm with JD, except my distaste didn't inspire such venom. I didn't hate it, but after all the talk about heartbreak from people... no one of any consequence died. To the point that when we see that Carl won't be dying, I was disappointed, even.

Maybe that's on me for buying into the hype.

I was also unhappy with the lake of fire being the solution. Because, really? The zombies are going to stop paying attention to the food directly in front of their faces to go look at the big shiny thing? It's one thing if they were just chilling on the road somewhere with nobody around and saw a fire. It's another thing when there are delicious, sweaty humans with brains 30 feet away and within their eyeline.

That's not to say there wasn't anything worthwhile in the episode.

I thought Daryl and his pet bazooka were pretty great. I am interested to see where Carol goes from here after realizing that she shot the guy while he was trying to help the doctor (oops, maybe Morgan was right). I did think the death scenes were fairly well done, they just didn't have the impact I was hoping for, especially in retrospect.

So... ehh.

And, for the ****ing love of christ AMC can we PLEASE get some sort of official release of Bear McCreary's score music for this show?!?! Even if only digitally?! For ****ssake.

I have heard good things about Better Call Saul, but I have never seen it and have no idea what it's about. For some reason, the title reminds me of a Horror Movie. :P

Sooooo ... I have held off on this as I have still been formulating my thoughts. On the surface I loved it. AMC and Tweedle-dee (aka Kirkman) got exactly what they want but it is really starting to feel very formulaic and convenient. You knew the kid was going to cause something to happen with his "Mom, mom, mom ..." sign off from the mid-season break but not the way it happened. I did like how what Carol told him came back to get him and I wonder if Carol will feel badly about that? Not sure she has much left inside to be honest. Just a drive to keep her friends safe and kill anyone else who is a threat. Regarding the Wolf - he didn't change at all. He was only concerned about himself, which is why he grabbed Denise. In death I just think he wanted to take down a zombie and that is it. On Carl - that was interesting but something I knew was coming. Rick still has both hands and I am more convinced then ever that will stay that way but the Carl thing seemed inevitable. Now Rick has control of Alexandria just like in the books. Loved Darryl blowing the Negan boys all to heck! That was awesome.

But everyone knows how I feel ... AMC and Kirkman are tied at the hip and they are both trying to squeeze every last penny out of this show for their own reasons. I am not sold on him as a story teller and I am not sold on AMC to bring great drama time and again.
