All that **** is on Netflix, right? I was looking at their anime stuff just last night and debating on starting something.
 
Gurren Laggan, Kill la Kill, and Sword Art Online Season 1 are all on Netflix, Adgy.
 
The Little Prince. I haven't scanned back eighteen pages, but has this been mentioned here? I hope it does ADSE's original story justice.

 
Here are a few newer ones that I can recommend

Aldnoah Zero (reminded me of some of the better Gundam series)

Monogatari series (this includes Bakemonogatari, Nekomongatari White & Black , Nisemonogatari Ect)

Saekano -how to raise a boring girlfriend (a very entertaining show)

Brynhildr in the darkness (a sci fi horror )

Love , Chunibyo and other delusions season 1 & 2 (a fun comedy)

Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works ( a great show )

Parasyte the maxim ( scifi horror done well)
 
Some good recommendations there! I have Bakemonogatari and Fate Stay Night on my queue--just waiting to make the time to watch them.

Love, Chunibyo and other delusions is right at the top of my list (along with Hunter x Hunter). Some laugh out loud moments to go along with a great story. I am holding off on season 2 while I rewatch season 1.

I will mention a couple more: Akame ga kill and Grisaia no Kajitsu. I am just a couple of episodes into both, but so far so good.

Considering it's a live action version of an anime(which I think was originally a Manga) I figured I'd put this news here. Of all the hipster horror makers out there Wingard's stuff has been the most satisfying. You're Next was solid upon first viewing(doesn't replay well) and The Guest was a terrific movie until it seemed like they realized they had to end it and stuff happened realfast. But at least Wingard isn't Ti West.

Hurm. Was wondering how this was gonna translate. The actual story is so sleight and odd. In the few scenes that they show they really seem to have captured it nicely. The framing material looks a little predictable and safe...but from the looks of the overall trailer it seems like it may drag me into a theater full of children to watch something I LOVED as a kid.

For those who loved the book, but haven't seen the 1974 Stanley Donen musical, it's worth watching IMO. Actually, you may find yourself severely disappointed by the movie as a whole, but what I'll wager will not disappoint are Bob Fosse's performance as the Snake and Gene Wilder's performance as the Fox. Their scenes are among my favorites from any movie.

In particular, if you haven't seen Fosse's choreography as the Snake, it may seem a bit familiar.
 
See, haha, I used to watch the Jem cartoon, and was looking forward to the movie because I thought it was just going to be campy and over the top silly, but it's just going to be bad. That's what I get for having hope. I feel like I just got slapped.

First HELL & BACK Image Teases a Trip to the Underworld

The Exchange has released the first Hell & Back image online. The studio picked up the international rights at Cannes for the film, which is billed as being in the vein of South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut and Team America: World Police. That’s a high bar, but Hell & Back has the distinction of being stop-motion animated, and it also has a strong voice cast that includes Mila Kunis, Danny McBride, T.J. Miller, Bob Odenkirk, Susan Sarandon, Jennifer Coolidge, and Rob Riggle. The plot “follows two best friends who must rescue their friend after he’s accidentally dragged to hell,” so you can see the potential for R-rated comedy.

Directed by Tom Gianas (SNL) and Ross Shuman (Robot Chicken), the movie is due out in theaters this fall.
