All Things:Fx

So I watched the first two episodes of Justified yesterday. Pretty damn good show, I gotta say! I think there's a definite binge in my future. I've missed Timothy Olyphant walking around wearing a cowboy hat and a steely-eyed gaze. I was disappointed that Zed was dead a minute into the first episode. One minor quibble I had was in the shootout scene, where the marshals were taking fire from automatic rifles and hiding behind their car; one went to hide behind the car door. A rifle round will go through a car door like a hot knife through butter. Don't the writers watch "Mythbusters"?
 
Look fwd to see where the brothers end up this season. FX continually producing a better product.
Funny how FX is a main network now, between FX and other outlets, ie; Netflix, the other "major networks" need to worry!

I personally don't consider ABC, NBC or CBS a major network. If NBC didn't have the Stanley Cup Playoffs or SNL, I would not watch it at all. Don't watch ABC or CBS anymore. My wife watches Bravo, I tend to watch FX, Netflix and sports channels.
 
Yeah, Agreed. The so called major networks cannot compete with Fx. Even if I don't think a show is something I am suited for I am likely to give it a try simply because of Fx's pedigree. It's no secret that they cater to writers and the network model of what, 17-21 shows per season cannot compete with the tight storytelling arcs on fx of around 12 episodes. Amc has caught on to that fact, even though their content is a little more hit/miss. Most of your basic cable station content, USA, A&E etc. is better than the big 4, who are trying to please everyone and in doing so please no one. It really is the golden age of television...excluding NBC,CBS,ABC and to a lesser degree...Fox.
 
Forgot The History Channel and The Discovery Channel. We still watch a lot on those channels. I've pitched a sports documentary to Discovery Channel titled "The Art of Flinging Poo." Told them the can cross market this to ESPN and other sports channels. If they don't move fast, we'll show the pilot episode on 30 on 30 via ESPN. They need me for ratings.

Unfortunately the thing called the NFL makes them major networks.
 
They are gonna be the all bastard network...The Bastard Executioner and Southern Bastards. Coming soon...It's Always Bastard in Philadelphia.
