Heroes was over the minute some bean counting network executive decided that keeping Sylar was more important than logic.

Networks exist to sell advertisements for movies on Thursday nights. They can't do that with only 13 episodes of a show. CBS and ABC are probably content with their relative successes with their particular target audiences. NBC and FOX are welcome to try some creative shows that aren't awful, especially since they will have even more gaping holes in their schedule once everyone is as sick of singing competitions as they are of morons with no concept of how odds work choosing between briefcases.
 
Man, watched the last 2 weeks of AHS last night...this show being so successful is almost impossible to understand. We are talking some dark stuff, sex and violence wise. They have managed to tweak almost all of my phobias so far. And, you would have been right to worry that the kitchen sink approach of having nuns/aliens/nazi doctors/Bloodyface and more might have come off disjointed and ridiculous...but, they have managed to do all of this and still be subtly creepy at the same time. So far better than season one...just ridiculously so. Really just f'd up and brilliant. Fx just continues to be my favorite network hands down. This is how you treat your viewers...as if they are adults and want envelope pushing stuff. THANK YOU.

Man, I did the exact same thing - caught both parts of I am Anne Frank last night. The 2nd part was freaking awesome. Genuinely creepy, and finally, in my opinion, there was some reason to really care for some of the characters. That episode really brought a lot of sympathy to some previously pretty unsympathetic folks. Though, the aliens are completely unnecessary. The first season/series dealt strictly within the ghost mythology and stuck pretty close to modern theories. The zombie/woodsfolk and aliens are distracting from a pretty brutal human storyline
 
I wonder how much they will discount the Bond set on Saturday, if it will be enough to make me give in and upgrade.

Oh man...the whole thing is excessive. Yet, so far it's terribly focused for something that seems just so overblown. Is the doc a nazi? Most likely...yet it is still subtle enough. I honestly think it is the most INSANE hit show right now. Something that should be ridiculous and a potboiler(like season one was at times) actually is very reigned in and constricted...to the point that the scene from last week...'Feel his tumescence...' just felt so icky/ I needs a shower...worked so DAMNED well. It truly is appointment tv to the point that it JUST KEEPS breaking boundaries. Jessica Lange...never better. This is just envelope pushing stuff and god bless Fx for showing everyone how you do horror on TV.
 
Man...another rough 90 minutes. Sorry guys...still feeling sorry for Clay. Especially since he seems to sincerely be looking out for Jax. The move by Bobby at the end is going to be a potential gamechanger and probably gonna p*ss a lot of folks off. Poor Nero. Dude's whole life turned upside down by Gemma and the club. Man, so cool to see Donal Logue. So many things going on. Just WOW! Entertainment Weekly's cover story could not have come at a more appropriate time!

oh, and that scene between Unser and Tara was magic. I heart Unser.

The guy who plays Unser is a very, very good actor. His whole character is so unique. Love this show. Sutter really knows what he is doing.

FX will premiere its newest original comedy series Legit, on January 17 at 10:30 ET/PT immediately following Archer. In Legit, Jim Jefferies is an edgy, foul-mouthed stand-up comedian from Australia, in his mid-30s and living in LA, struggling to make his life and career more ?legit,? only to find it a difficult, uncomfortable uphill struggle every step of the way. Jim is encouraged in his quest by Steve (Dan Bakkedahl), his neurotic best friend and roommate, a cyber-law library salesman who struggles to stay on his feet in the wake of a divorce, and Steve?s brother, Billy (DJ Qualls), who suffers from advanced staged Muscular Dystrophy and is confined to a wheelchair. “It’s a guy that basically sorta wants to be Raylan Givens [Timothy Olyphant], but is not, which I think most men can relate to,” Oswalt tells EW. The former high school classmates reconnect when Raylan asks Bob to check in on Arlo’s house and make sure it doesn’t get trashed. Oswalt is tight-lipped about the character, who will return later in the season, but offers two teases: “He thinks he has a dark, mysterious, messed-up past, but there’s hints that everybody already knows about it and doesn’t care,” he says. And, “I do get to do stuff that’s a combination of, like, super funny and super violent… I’ll leave it at that.”
