All Things:HBO/CINEMAX

I don't know if anyone else watched that JINXED:The Lives and Deaths of Robert Durst last night...but that was some fine fine stuff. Reminded me of the old Coroners docs HBO used to have all the time. Dude is nothing if not fascinating.
I really gotta watch that show, he was a client of mine a few years back. First words out of his mouth to me were "I am a convicted felon." He said it like someone else might say "I am an Olympic gold medalist."

They sum it up early on when one of the detectives says 'he seemed like one of those guys who thought he could do anything' or something to that effect. It's a great doc so far. Fascinating man really.

Banshee continues to be the best 60 minutes on tv right now. That heist of the army base and that damned terminator commander was about the tensest **** I have seen since Hank got the phone call about the twins on Breaking Bad. Next week, New Orleans...and the final battle(?) of what has been the live action version of the Peter Griffin vs Chicken fight...Hood vs Chayton.

That wasn't my favorite episode but it was may be I'm just worn out from this season and that's a credit to the show.

On a side not, while I think some or maybe most people expect T&A because it's on Cinemax, I actually think the show has become so good that it's clearly not needed to be a huge success and actually feels completely unneeded since it's placed in the middle of all the crazy action. They have toned that aspect down a bit this year and it's not missed in the slightest. That's a compliment on how well the show has turned out to be.

BANSHEE SPOILERS

Not sure what their secret is, but Banshee literally went from a silly little show, almost an afterthought, to having one of the best single seasons in my memory. Maybe that's why they cut it down to 8 episodes next season...cause this is going to be hard to sustain. Goodbye Chayton Littlestone, you were awesome and will be missed...but you didn't overstay...so, once again...thanks. Two more episodes, gonna miss this show in the offseason.

Man! This Jinxed:Durst documentary is fantastic. He is a blinky tic-ey black eyed sociopath. And this last chapter proves how money =s a criminal defense that actually pulls off witchcraft. Amazing.

Is Robert Durst Lying On ‘The Jinx’? Or Is He A Victim Of Weird Contacts?
http://uproxx.com/tv/2015/03/robert-durst-jinx-contacts-theory/

If you’re watching The Jinx on HBO, you’ve probably been made deeply uncomfortable by series subject Robert Durst. One of his more unsettling aspects is his blink. After certain statements, he practically blinks himself out of his chair. MorningAfter made a supercut of some of his most intense blinks, then posited they could be a sign of lying. However, an LA Times commenter came up with a different explanation:

I spend a lot of time in Asia. Bobby was wearing Japanese “Doe Eyes” contact lenses. They are designed to make you look like a baby deer, or innocent. The whites of the eyes are reduced.

In this case it made the person under interview blink frequently.

Perhaps the intention was to look innocent, or the lenses were recommended to act as sunglasses.

Yeah, his blink is frightening. But man...his legal team is AMAZING!!!!!!!

The jig is up for Durst! Jinx finale was some quality TV.
Where was his lawyer for the final interview? What a way to give it all up!

Dunno man...that doc made a strong case for an insanity plea at the very least. And the lawyers are already dropping beauties about the contacts(see above). Even with the letter, how can they prove he killed her. All the lawyers have to suggest is that he stopped by her house, found the body, and given his previous case of dismembering a body out of fear he would be blamed for the murder...well...there ya go. I know nothing about law and I have already poked holes. His attorneys are REALLY good.
As shocking as the finale' was I thought it was a little indulgent and the documentarian went out of his way to make himself part of the story. If I'm not mistaken that is a violation of the first rule of the medium. A lot of articles suggesting that they withheld evidence and there should be a follow up to the timeline/motivations. Is it purely coincidence that Durst was arrested on the same day as the finale airing???? There is more story to see here.

His attorney told him not to do the interviews. The only issue I have with the attorney is he should have quit when Durst didn't follow his advice. Not only did he not quit, he agreed to be filmed for the documentary.
