I knew absolutely nothing about Watchmen when I went to see the movie. My daughter knew all about it and was the one who suggested we go. The ticket seller said, "Be aware that there is graphic violence and full frontal male nudity throughout." I was like, Whaaaaaaaattttt??? Isn't this about super heroes? She said, "Well, kind of. It'll be fine. You're going to like it."
She was right. Also, I love Jackie Earle Haley as I was obsessed with Breaking Away for the longest time. What a surprise to see him in Watchmen. Just so good.

I purposely waited to build up some episodes before watching. Good lord am I glad. I am not sure I can handle the wait for these last three, a whole season...no way.

Seriously, one of the best shows...great acting, storytelling, MUSIC...man, the Pixies Where is my Mind was forever the end scene of Fight Club, but this show took it back. Unrelenting...Unlike my other favorite 'show that makes you contemplate suicide' Rectify, there is hardly a respite from the brutal brutal soul crushing sadness of this show. And it's...beautiful. The episode with the Priest and his wife, where they repeated his daily routine until you wanted to scream ENOUGH!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

I cannot make you guys watch this. I wish I could. But you really really should.

Please HBO...keep making this show. I'm not at all sure what the ratings are, but this isn't Game of Thrones. It's a niche show but that doesn't mean it has any less reason to exist.

And in no way is ______ dead. I wouldn't be surprised, cause this is a brave show. But ___ story is not done yet.

‘True Detective’: HBO Has Given Nic Pizzolatto Three Options for Season 3

For one, according to Variety, True Detective Season 3 is not a sure thing. However, the hilarious part is how HBO apparently phrased its three options to Pizzolatto, should it go ahead: he can either work with a staff of writers, have an outside showrunner come in, or … just keep doing what he’s been doing (writing/showrunning it all himself).

Wow. What a scorched earth ultimatum HBO. Way to put your foot down.
