’Quarry’: Cinemax Reveals Premiere Date, Teaser, and First Images of Gritty 1970s Drama
http://collider.com/quarry-trailer-images-premiere-date-cinemax/

Quarry, based on the Max Allan Collins novels, comes from Rectify’s Graham Gordy and Michael D. Fuller, and is being directed by Banshee’s Greg Yaitanes. (That’s already a heckuva pedigree right there — Rectify is one of the best series ever to grace our screens, and longtime readers will know of my affection for Banshee). It stars Logan Marshall-Green (who you might know from Prometheus, though I prefer to recall from The O.C.) as Mac Conway, “a Marine who returns home to Memphis from Vietnam in 1972 and finds himself shunned by those he loves and demonized by the public. As he struggles to cope with his experiences at war, Conway is drawn into a network of killing and corruption that spans the length of the Mississippi River.”

The series also stars Jodi Balfour (Final Destination 5), Peter Mullan (Top of the Lake), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Luther), Damon Harriman (Justified), Jamie Hector (The Wire), Edoardo Ballerini (Romeo Must Die) and Skipp Sudduth (Ronin). Four of those actors come from my favorite shows of all time, so I am expecting great things (or hoping for them, anyway).

Helluva cast and crew...I am SOOOOOOO watching this.

anyone watching Outcast? A little slow...but not bad at all. Nice to see Lee Tergesen(oz) last week. And Reg E. Cathay(also oz) is on it 3 minutes a week, but so damned good. Lots of potential, but at some point they have to stop dawdling.

I don't watch it, but every time I see the title of the show, I want to watch Outland instead.

Watched Season 2 of The Leftovers at last. Phenomenal season. Might be my absolutely favorite HBO original ever.

Of course I finished watching only a day after the launch date for season 3 was delayed until 2017. Boo! Now I have to wait.

One gripe about the season:

SPOILERS

In the "No Room at the Inn" episode, why didn't Matt just contact the church people to help him get back in? Made no sense. Did I miss something?

Vice Principals Premiere... was OK. I think there were 50 F Bombs. LOL
