All Things:HBO/CINEMAX

I think it was Nas' brother in The Night Of because.

Vice Principals Premiere... was OK. I think there were 50 F Bombs. LOL

Good call Dex. It seems too easy that Nas did it...one glaring issue...he had NO blood on him other than the hand that he dipped in it. Then again...maybe they do like that movie with Ed Norton/Richard Gere, where they twist it at the very end that he actually did do it.

And I liked Vice Principals. Thought McBride was a little one dimensional, but Goggins' metrosexual effete character was fun to watch...as he usually is.

I thought Vice Principals was awful, mostly because of McBride's character and the focus on him. Then the last 15 seconds gave me hope, but I'm going to be skeptical.

The problem with the brother is, though, how did he ever find Nas? Followed him all night, unseen? And how did he get into the apartment?

What about the dude that was with the guy harassing Nas as he was walking into her apartment? He didn't say anything but was staring at her/them pretty intently. And then the guy says he was alone when he was interviewed. Hmm.

Vice Principles Episode 2... 'well, that escalated quickly'. LOL

Yes, "Hmm" to the power of 9 on that one. I also think the stepfather is shady. Turturro was right about getting stabbed 22 times - that's personal.
I have a very bad feeling that they may not give us a definitive answer, and leave it up to the viewer to decide if Nas is guilty or not.

Nas didn't do it. Nor did the brother. It's going to be an ex who has been watching/stalking her and finally snapped. Jail/prison situation with the inmates/guards is pure b.s. Again Hollywood is too far out there.

Yeah, Shane (aka Boyd aka Goggins) is the key to Vice Principals. More him = better show. The improvement was enough for me to keep going and Shane's crazy evil trying to corrupt McBride might actually make McBride somewhat interesting.

Not gonna lie. I love this guy...so much so that I scared him in Whole Foods. But he just keeps nailing it everytime he does anything. And Vice Principals seems like it's gonna be yet another. I will be honest, I liked Eastbound and Down...but it gave me douche chills a LOT. I had to turn off some of the episodes. As cynical as I am, it was tough to take. I SHOULD be feeling that with this show too. But, when they wrecked the Principal's house last week...I may have turned the corner. I don't think it's gonna be a fun show, but unless something changes, I am totally in.

Last episode was about 97% McBride, and about 97% terrible. His character's daughter is the female version of the kid in Bad Santa. Busy Phillips is being wasted.

I am confused on The Night Of again. Naz getting a bit too into the prison life.

Here’s the official synopsis for High Maintenance:

Providing a glimpse into the homes and routines of eccentric New Yorkers, the comedy series HIGH MAINTENANCE explores the private lives of these unique individuals through a common thread: their weed deliveryman. Ben Sinclair stars as The Guy, whose client base includes a group of characters with neuroses as diverse as the city.

HIGH MAINTENANCE was created by the married duo of Katja Blichfeld (Emmy?-winning casting director of “30 Rock”) and Ben Sinclair (“Sisters,” “The Big C”), who write and direct every episode of the new season, and executive produced by Katja Blichfeld, Ben Sinclair and Russell Gregory.

The Night Of is giving me a heavy '70s TV movie Cage Without a Key vibe. Spoiler alert ; ) An innocent Susan Dey went to prison, her only friend got a pot of boiling water 'spilled' on her, she made a reluctant alliance with a gang leader for protection, and got caught up in a breakout riot just as she was unknowingly proven innocent. :39smile:

I am starting to think(like I am probably supposed to) that Naz did it. How sweet is the relationship between John and the cat? I honestly think it's the cat that is curing his feet.

I'm looking forward to the cat resolution as much as I am to the crime resolution.

This show has been a nice surprise. Almost True Detective like, minus all the buzz. Hopefully they will do more stories anthology style.

What should we expect — or want — from 'The Night Of' finale?

Interesting article. As much as I am looking forward to the finale' I will miss this show. It is the one show I am currently watching as it plays instead of dvr, and I rewatch the episode a couple times during the repeats. Moreso than Naz I am really rooting for the cat. That scene when the cat got loose and automatically crawled into bed with Stone...that's why cats rule.
