R.I.P.D., I love that flick
Does that mean that there isn’t going to be anymore Watchmen? Not necessarily. Does that mean that I will be working on subsequent seasons of Watchmen? I don’t know is the answer to that question. We designed these nine episodes to be as self-contained as the original 12 issues. We wanted to feel like there was a sense of completeness, to resolve the essential mystery at hand. Obviously, there is a potential promise for the further exploration of the world but like the seasons of Leftovers that I did as opposed to Lost, which was designed to have cliffhanger finales and a promise of future storytelling.”

If you have been reluctant, DON'T.
It's terrific on it's own and a very worthy follow up.

Been watching and really love the totally different direction it has gone then I thought. Talk about giving NOTHING in the trailers. Love it.
I am comfortable saying, “Every single idea that we had is onscreen and presented in these nine episodes. And there isn’t anything that occurred to us that was like, ‘Oh, that would be a good Season Two. We should save that.'” Everything that we wanted to do, we did. So I feel like the plate is empty. There’s nothing rattling around in my brain right now that feels like a compulsion to do more.
That being said, Lindelof stressed that “Watchmen is bigger than me” because “of course it is.” After all, he continued, the graphic novel was created by other people decades ago, and it has “endured as one of the greatest pieces of storytelling for 30 years before I had anything to do with it.” He even admitted, should HBO decide to go ahead and make another season without his direct involvement, and with another showrunner entirely, that he’d be “thrilled” by that.
HO-Lee Crap, Watchmen!
As far as the reveals from the past few episodes have gone, this one seemed a little anticlimactic. But I mean that in an "8/10 instead of a 9/10" kind of way.
The layers and the way the meanings of things worked out, going all the way back to episode 1....
The convoluted storyline that, as far as I can tell, absolutely holds up....
The way it ties back to the book, even!
They haven't renewed it yet. They left plenty of meat on the bone to go back if they want. But if they leave it at that as a "hit it n quit it," I'd be totally satisfied. Even if I did hope for more of this great show.
