All Things HORROR

wIdBsUm.jpg

Full disclosure. I DO NOT like Italian horror. Dancing gives me terrible douche chill anxiety. I tend to resent what is considered 'Prestige' horror that claims to be GRANDER than the material, and is usually heralded by stories of people swooning. And I definitely raise an eyebrow when usually genre hating critics pick a horror movie to trot out as their 'see, we don't look down on horror' consensus choice.

Well ****.

Despite all those things...and an almost defiantly '**** you' attitude, this movie left me speechless and SHAKY. If anyone ever tells you this is their fave movie...they are posing or truly deeply disturbed. And you should report them.

that being said, this is for you guys out there. Luc...Tiger...Orph...and anyone else that loves a lucid nightmare that just hypnotizes you. But beware, like a great dream or nightmare, it's tenuous and abstract. There are enough moments of clarity to...at least mimic what you have seen before and have you succumb to the madness, but if you need traditional structure, look elsewhere.

Can't flippin WAIT

Female Robbers Pick the Wrong House to Invade in BRAID, Now in Theaters & On Demand
https://www.dreadcentral.com/news/2...to-invade-in-braid-now-in-theaters-on-demand/

watched this the other day...

It is far from a perfect movie. I found my suspension of disbelief under constant assault. One of the key performances is laughably bad.

BUT!!!! I highly recommend it. This puzzle box is as spellbinding as it is head scratching. The ending is sooooooooooo left to your imagination, but the movie really drew me in and it really didn't matter.

Saw this Friday night...I was reluctant to say the least. Usually 'metal' flicks are mishandled by people who don't have a clue. The subject tends to come off as buffoonish. But, Jonas ?kerlund, who directed, was the drummer for Bathory, and he handles the subject with the proper tone and some much needed delicate humor. The acting is very strong and it really helps to pull you in. The violence is sparse, but incredibly violent and prolonged...it would make Rob Zombie blush. Highly recommended.

This...was shrill, repetetive, and kinda silly. Good for tweeners, not really for any horror fan who has any sophistication whatsoever. The post credits scene potentially takes it into a new level of wacky, that I have to say I am kinda curious to see.

That sequel makes me want to watch the original Happy Death Day, which I missed.

Oh, and I saw that trailer to Lords of Chaos while drunk out of my mind, lol, and really liked it. Haha. A lot of us metal fans have heard of that infamous story and just the general infamy of that Black Death metal scene. So I definitely want to watch that since it looks pretty good.

Plus they cast a Jewish actor to play Varg Vikernes, haha. That's like trolling.

Imagine hearing this stuff when it first came out?

Blumhouse Has "Discussed" Making New Hellraiser & Scream Movies
https://screenrant.com/blumhouse-hellraiser-scream-new-movies/

Not bad. Blumhouse put out some low to mid budget crowd pleasers, had a few prestige hits...and have made themselves useful to Universal. Now, having possibly bought the Dark Universe off the cut-out shelves(they are developing the Invisible Man, which was lined up with Johnny Depp then cancelled), and now this.

Hellraiser - and its lead villain, the Cenobite known as Pinhead

Whenever I read something like this... I'm like do they even know Hellraiser? That's the IPs biggest problem right there.

So honestly, did they ever figure out where her hijos are?

Another woman of color brought down by the system? mhihi: :manybeers:
