La Llorona (Traditional. As told by Orphy)
There was once a young maiden, who at first glance, fell in love with a young caballero and his chorizo. So she had her mind set on conquering his heart, but to no avail, and she became convinced it was because she had two kids, I mean, who's got time for baby drama.
So in an act of desperation, she threw both of her kids into the river.
When said caballero found out, he was disgusted, and said, "Those kids had nothing to do with my rejection. Now I know I don't want to have anything to do with a woman with such a black heart!"
And then, the maiden, realized, what she had done, ending without the caballero, his chorizo, and her kids.
She ran up and down, in desperation, in search of her kids, yelling, "Mis Hijos! Adonde estan mis hijos!"
To no avail. And in grief threw herself into that same river.
And legend has it that if you don't behave, La Llorona will come at night, and grab your chorizo! mhihi: :scared:
