A Lure: Teen Fight Club (DVD) | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central

Teenage girls in a small town are being abducted, held captive in animal cages inside a barn, dressed up in sexy outfits, and forced with remote control electric shock collars to fight each other to the death in a makeshift wrestling ring as the community's wealthiest citizens hoot and holler like the ?Married with Children? studio audience while wagering big bucks on which girl will exit the ring alive; the mysterious organizer monitors and records the spectacle via close-circuit television, always shot in darkened silhouette from behind like Inspector Gadget?s arch-nemesis.

Folks, this is a real movie. I am not making any of this up. Somebody did. They titled it A Lure: Teen Fight Club, and quietly slipped it out on DVD the end of last year with less fanfare than a motion picture with such a wacko premise deserves. I want to take this opportunity to thank those people for gracing the world with such wonderful rubbish.

24Framespersecond.net - Korean extreme horror - MISSING: Review

Missing offers a harrowing account of abduction, torture, and murder, and the fight against all odds for survival. It’s a simple premise based on fact, but there’s nothing here to suggest that we’re watching anything new. Veteran actor Moon Sung Keun steals the show with his mesmerising performance as the psychopathic killer whose softly spoken mannerisms give way to terrifying brutality. Choo Ja Hyun (Bloody Tie) is the only person standing in his way, a beautiful young woman determined to save her kidnapped sister, who also happens to be beautiful by the way. It’s a familiar equation then - beautiful girls + naked flesh + creepy psychopath + really big meat cleaver = bloodshed, torture and an entertaining night in.

THIS MUST GET MADE!!!!!!

CHUD.com — Hard-R Humpty Dumpty May Still Happen

It has been almost two years since reports first surfaced that David R Ellis (Final Destination 2, Snakes on a Plane) was going to helm a geniusly loony horror film called Humpty Dumpty, about a pair of backwoods swamp rednecks who find a female alien and proceed to rape the **** out of her (naturally; what do those slutty aliens expect, dressin? like that?). The alien then escapes and dies giving birth to a freaky egg-lookin? mother****er, hellbent on vengeance. Frankly, just that E.T. meets I Spit On Your Grave set-up is madness. Then toss in the mutant egg monster? How anyone could not get excited about this film, I do not know.

Man...I GOTTA SEE THIS!!!!!

Woman, The (2011) | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central

Although maybe not McKee?s intent, it may just open people?s eyes to the reality of what some women in our glorious world go through every day of their lives. McKee wanted us to feel dread. We did that. He wanted us to feel pity. We did that, too. McKee?s gut-wrenching aspiration, which I can only compare to the sickness of A Serbian Film, will remain in my memory forever as some things cannot be unseen.
Recommended, but be careful what you wish for.

Final Thoughts

Matt Reeves delivers much more than a simple remake of the popular Swedish novel and film 'Let the Right One In.' 'Let Me In' is an alternate take on the plot about two melancholic children dealing with a cruel and cold world. It's a wonderfully captivating picture which elegantly blends horror tropes within a harrowing, dramatic tale of finding love in the most unusual place. This Blu-ray edition of the film features excellent picture and a marvelous audio presentation that fans will love. Anchor Bay also offers a healthy collection of supplements, along with a short comic, earning this package a strong recommendation.

Sounds like a very deserving flick got a very good disc. Look, just buy this damned thing on Tuesday...and, if you haven't seen the original, pick that up off the shelf too(just make sure your copy says THEATRICAL SUBTITLES).

was a movie I waited 3 years to see...and while it was twisted fun...it could not live up to the expectations I had for it. It actually was pretty ****ed up, and I am sure upon repeated viewings I will say very nice things...but initially, a tad disappointing.
