Ah, well... I don't like Woody Allen as a person much, but I'll admit to having seen some of his films even after finding out what he's done (not in a way that I had to pay for them), though I don't bother with him any longer. It's academic, I guess, but at least in his case it wasn't rape?
 
I am not exactly a fan of pedophiles, but I am not going to lie, I am a fan of several of Allen's and Polanski's works. Chinatown, in my opinion, is one of the greatest films ever made.

It confuses me, that is, separating the person from their work. :facepalm:
 
That's come up in the past re:Mel Gibson...I just think it's easier for people to single out Salva, who is a repulsive damaged person, because he is a maker of low brow horror films. Allen/Polanski make artful fiilms so,for some reason, people can forgive a lot easier. At least Salva did time. I find it repulsive that Michael Vick is so adored when, i.m.o. his crime was far more horrible than all of the horror movies i have watched combined.
 
I agree 100% and, admittedly, had a much harder time with Woody Allen because I do like some of his movies immensely.

And, Vick... yeah, **** that *******.
