sure, the stuff on these vids looks like rehashed stuff from Carpenter's version, but still...nicely done. Shame they left it all out and went w/cgi.

I've watched all the Hellraiser movies through Hellseeker. Some are pretty bad, but I really like the characters, so they are like a guilty pleasure of mine.

Don Coscarelli's New Film Heads to Sundance | Shock Till You Drop

Sundance Institute announced today the selection of four additional films for the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, including one film from the director of Phantasm, Don Coscarelli! That's right, it looks like Coscarelli's John Dies At the End is complete and ready to make the festival rounds.

John Dies At the End is being added to the festival's Park City at Midnight program. Here's the listing:

Director: Don Coscarelli, Screenwriter: Don Coscarelli, based on a novel by David Wong) - On the street they call it Soy Sauce - a drug that allows users to drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Can John and David stop the oncoming horror? No. They can't. Cast: Chase Williamson, Rob Mayes, Paul Giamatti, Clancy Brown, Glynn Turman. World Premiere

Ok, the movie looks a little low budge, but the book was great and...Clancy 'the Kurgen' Brown...c'mon.

Real-Life Horror: Dutch TV Hosts Go Cannibal and Eat Each Other's Flesh | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central

When a story as juicy as this one crosses our desks, even if it's not related to a specific horror movie or other type of project, we just can't let it go by without commenting on it. Meet Dennis Storm and Valerio Zeno, two Dutch TV show hosts who dined on each other's flesh as part of a new show on BNN called ?Proefkonijnen? or, as its title translates, ?Test Rabbits.?

?The punchline of the show is to get really simple answers [to] stupid questions, such as, ?Can you shave with ketchup?? or ?Can you drive blind??? Storm said. ?And we wanted to find out how human flesh tasted.? So part of Storm?s left butt cheek was carved out by a surgeon while Zeno opted to have a piece of his abdomen removed, and then they had it cooked up by a top chef. ?The chef cooked it in a frying pan with sunflower oil,? Storm added. ?We didn?t add any salt or pepper because we wanted to know what it tasted like.?
?Nothing is really that special when you?re talking about the taste of the meat,? Storm told ABC News, ?but it is weird to look into the eyes of a friend when you are chewing on his belly.?

OMG! I think so, yeah, Googled it, and it seems like it because I remember the comic book art was Conan-ish. And Oliver Stone directed it! :O

I watched this when I was, dunno, around 10, and never saw it again or could remember the name. I already liked comics then so that's probably why it stayed in my mind.

Edit: Oh, read more about it, and apparently Barry Windsor-Smith did the comic art. I met him, well, 'meet' in sense that I went to Golden Apple once, and he just happened to be there signing stuff, and I was gawking at him. Lol!

Now I have to watch the movie again.

ha, yeah...Barry Windsor Smith...and the character was named Jon Lansdale...very close to Joe Lansdale. I remember, it was very gory, psychological horror and the maguffin was...did he really lose the hand? Or was he just acting out his subconscious. Other great phantom hand movies...IDLE HANDS(which I love) and BODY PARTS(with Jeff Fahey & Brad Dourif). Oh yeah, and EVIL DEAD 2EAD BY DAWN

You have got to love technology. Back in the day for the devil to speak, you'd have to play records backwards and stuff. It was a real pain in the ass getting the speed right. Now, all he has to do is find two sickos loony enough to relay his message for him online. Those lovable sickos? Repo! The Genetic Opera's Darren Lynn Bousman and Terrance Zdunich.

The official Devil's Carnival website opened its doors a couple of days ago rockin' some tasty art and a short video preview of what was to come, and now Big Red himself has checked in with a message for the fans looking for some good old fashioned music filled craziness.

Looks like fun.

‘Killer Klowns from Outer Space’ ‘Requel’ Coming In 2012 | Geeks of Doom

It’s time to take another ride on a nightmare merry-go-round, and this time it will be in 3D.

The 1988 sci-fi/horror/comedy cult classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space is heading full tilt boogie for a 21st century reinvention with its original creators Stephen, Charles, and Edward Chiodo once again at the controls. Prepare for the coming of The Return of the Killer Klowns from Outer Space in 3D!


A new Killer Klowns movie has been in the works for years, but recently the project has started to gain some momentum. Grant Cramer, one of the stars of the original film said to have a vital role in The Return, gave an update on the film’s development back in June when he stated, “We have a script and a commitment for all our funding but the money can’t be spent until we have a distribution deal in place so that’s where we are – talking to distributors.” Most recently the Chiodo brothers were in attendance at Screamfest 2011 for a Killer Klowns Q & A panel and when questioned about the progress of the prospective sequel they stated that the new movie will be a strange hybrid of a sequel and a remake….a “requel” if you will.

Cramer also said that his role in the new Killer Klowns flick will “be the mentor to the two new young leads that have to try save the world from the Klowns when they return.”
