Gonna try to convince Kingsqueen to do this. Any chance you may show LTI?

Hell Baby (2013) | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central

But Hell Baby is not all laughs, not by a longshot. There is some spectacular horror thrown in here and there that really tries to level the playing field against the constantly driven comedy. The overuse of some comedy may actually be the only real issue with the film, but that's understandable given the overwhelming amount of comedians in the cast, who often seemed to be trying to outdo one another, no doubt due to the fair amount of improvisation used in the film.

So while it may need a slight trim here and there, Hell Baby is a welcome addition to the horror comedy sub-genre. While it would be nice to see it make it to a wide release, unfortunately it's more likely to end up a limited theatrical/VOD feature. But give it a chance; I would certainly watch it again. If you enjoyed Tucker and Dale or have had the pleasure of seeing Grabbers, this might be right up your alley. Even if those were not your bag, if you like this cast, you should enjoy it as well.

I'm in.

D'oh! Just read this. I was not at either of the 7:30PM shows. Did you go?

I did go to the 9:55 show on Friday night after dinner at Plan Check. Coscarelli introduced the film, as he said he would. He brought up some of the actors, including Angus Scrimm!!!, Doug Jones and Tai Bennett (kooky guy, very fun); apologized for not being able to do a Q&A... and then did a short Q&A! :)

Very funny Lags...can I call you Lags?

I LOVE this. Look for the makers of this to get some traction.

First Details on The Theatre Bizarre 2: Grand Guignol | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central

Fans of the anthology film The Theatre Bizarre are about to find themselves being really, really, happy as the names of the directors who will serve as participants of its sequel have just come to light. Read on!

Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Olivier Abbou, Xavier Gens, Lucile Hadzihalilovic, Pascal Laugier, Talal Selhami, Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo have all been tapped for The Theatre Bizarre 2: Grand Guignol.

Yep! An all French feast is on its way!

“After the critical success of the first Theatre Bizarre anthology, it felt only natural to follow yp with another serving of more over-the-top, brutal, visionary, envelope-pushing tales. And this time, carte blanche was given to the creme de la creme of French directors, who were all very happy to take Grand Guignol back to its original birthplace.”

Oh, outstanding. This was one of my faves from last year and as far as anthologies go so far superior the the horrible V/H/S. And an all French sequel. Not a big fan of the land of waiters but man they sure have mads some great horror flicks over the last decade.
