I hated Event Horizon. I stopped well short of ripping out all the theater seats when I saw it.
This statement alone forgives any future misgivings I may have with your taste in horror movies.Event Horizon is one bat **** crazy movie that I love.
See, Event Horizon is like that. You really either LOVE or HATE the damned thing. But I say this to you guys who are anti...Sam Freaking Neill...come onnnnnnnnnnn! Standard rule is that if he is in a genre flick, circle gets the square for the win. I have said it before and again, EH is the best HELLRAISER movie ever made!!!!!!!!!
How technology takes things from the past and makes them even cooler…
Bloody-D’s Jonny B. caught wind of an incredibly cool imgur album that solely shares screen grabs from Paul W.S. Anderson’s incredible 1997 Event Horizon.
Those of you who recall the sci-fi horror Sam Neill-starrer that takes many cues from Ridley Scott’s Alien, it’s about a rescue ship that transports between dimensions – via a black hole – and literally brings Hell upon the crew.
Anderson flash-cuts the hell out of the film, showing terrifying visions in single frames that appear so quickly that it’s literally impossible for the brain to digest it all.
With HD versions of the film in release, and someone with the time to take some screencaps, we now have a series of imagery that shows the incredible effects work that only graces the screen for seconds.
Up and coming indie label, Artsploitation Films, continues to deliver edgy international movies to North American audiences with it’s second-ever horror release....Chilean horror: Hidden In the Woods. Based on a bizarre true story and not for the faint of heart (its also currently being remade in the U.S as a more than likely, weak as water PG-13 rehash) 'Hidden' features extreme violence, prostitution, sexual assault, buckets of blood...oh...and cannibalism.
Artsploitation’s release of Woods will arrive on DVD for the first time ever on September 17. The DVD extras include an eight page booklet, a reversible cover a special look at director Patricio Valladares at Fantasia 2012 and a behind-the-scenes featurette.
