All Things HORROR

Has anything decent been released in the past 2 years?

I'm down for anything. All the Horror Ive watched recently has been utter crap.

It really doesn't matter as long as there is a decent storyline...like Saw 1, for example. Even if there are storyline holes, a good story and story cadence are a must. Decent character acting too. I know I'm asking a lot of this genre, lol.

I typically prefer paranormal, sci-fi and anything mindbender and love, LOVE Indy versions of the same.

Sadly I haven't seen any of these yet but the consensus is that this years bests were The Babadook and Starry Eyes. Some sequels getting good mention are Dead Snow:Red vs Dead and Wolf Creek 2. I think the majority of these are at least on VOD.

Yeah, thanks man. I knew I was grabbing at straws with my constraints. It probably the toughest market, movie wise, to reinvent. Every once in a while a good one shows up though.

Slightly off topic but I just watched Blair Witch again for the first time since I saw it opening night, 1990something. Wow, it's a great mindf*** flick! I luckily saw it in the "HOLY S***! Is it REAL?!?" pre debunking phase that hit about 10 days after the opening. Still a solid, solid movie, in my mind. It will be the first suspense, paranormal type movie I show my 12 year old daughter, when she asks for it. Gotta go slow for kids...I didn't sleep for 6 months after seeing the Exorsist at 9yrs old. Lol.

Not Horror, per say, but then again, Horror is 25% visual, 75% mind...at least for me. :)

Here is another one brother. Once again, have not seen...but the premise is interesting, The Ring meets Shivers.

This is the one I am dying to see. If you haven't seen the first one, get lit with some friends and put it on. MUCH better anthology series than V/H/S although me and Lagwagon disagree.
