Exclusive ‘The Blackcoat’s Daughter’ Clip: A24’s Atmospheric Horror Conjures a Satanic Panic
http://collider.com/the-blackcoats-daughter-clip/

The Blackcoat’s Daughter is a film that gets under your skin through the pure power of atmosphere. The feature debut from I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House director Osgood Perkins (he shot The Blackcoat’s Daughter first, but Pretty Thing had an earlier release), the film is a wintery fever dream of satanic possession that is genuinely chilling thanks to Perkins knack for creating nightmarish dread and paying it off with moments of visceral depravity. Weeks later, I’m still thinking about The Blackcoat Daughter‘s third act, which culminates in a sharp and searing realization of the film’s full breadth of evils. This movie’s got the goods, and today we’re happy to debut an exclusive clip that gives a taste of the terrors Perkins has cooked up.

Since The Witch, the Devil seems to be making a comeback.

A Dark Song’ Trailer Delivers a Black Magic Head Trip
http://collider.com/a-dark-song-trailer/

IFC Films has released a new trailer for A Dark Song, the twisty and twisted occult drama from first-time feature director writer-director Liam Gavin. This is a unique film, completely unlike anything else in the genre so it’s best viewed in mystery, but suffice it to say the plot follows two strangers who are locked together in a house for an arduous ritual that spans months. What follows is an ever-evolving power play that leaves both parties suspect. How much will the ritual demand of them? Why are they willing to go to such great lengths to invoke an otherworldly force? Could something else be trapped in that house with them? A Dark Song spins many webs of mystery and keeps you puzzling out every mystery up until the audacious ending you definitely won’t see coming.
