All Things:NETFLIX

SPOILERS

Ok...was watching about the first 15 minutes of Making a Murderer before I got interrupted...and the spell broke. I will admit, Like the Jinx:Robert Durst doc on HBO, it was INSTANTLY compelling. And I had every intention of bingeing. But, when the cousin starts affirming her disposition about how she said she drove past him @ 40mph, because he was masturbating in her general direction...you realize that this guy is guilty of something. If not what they cleared him for...than something else. Spell broke.

Would You Rent A ‘Netflix And Chill’ Room For 400 Bucks A Night?
http://uproxx.com/life/netflix-and-chill-room/

The Netflix & Chill Airbnb Room is a project presented by ART404 + Tom Galle. With this project we bring the famous ‘Netflix & Chill meme’ to life and offer it as an IRL experience that people can rent for a night.

The room is designed and equipped to experience ‘Netflix & Chill’ the best way possible.

Everything a couple needs to fully experience:

– The original Netflix and Chill Bed
– A fully stacked mini bar: Champagne, Wine, Rose, Rum, Vodka, Gin, Bourbon, Whiskey, Beer etc, soda and all kinds of juices to mix drinks.
– A HD projector connected with the new AppleTV and Netflix account, with remote controllers for both.
– Surround sound speakers around the bed.
– A beautiful view over the city, especially during sundown.
– Access to the rooftop with beautiful New York skyline view.
– Large bathroom with marble finish.
– Great location with a wide variety of restaurants close by, to visit or order to the room.

If the mini bar is included and not extra...depending on how good the view is, it's not ridiculous to think it could be cool. $400 is just at the border of too much...but meh.

State Of Grace is a great film.
Hell yes it is. Totally underrated when you consider it predates movies like Reservoir Dogs, El Mariachi, Bronx Tale, The Professional, etc. that would shape a lot of movies of that genre moving forward.

'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny': Review

John Fusco’s screenplay makes scant reference to Wang Du Lu’s source text Iron Knight, Silver Vase, opting instead to lazily rehash a number of story beats from the previous film.

Clocking in at just 96 minutes, Sword of Destiny feels heavily truncated, lacking in narrative substance. Scant characterisation and timid action choreography don’t help matters, while an over-reliance on simple sets and CGI landscapes mean Grant Major’s (The Lord of the Rings) production design lacks the resonance of the previous film.

Sadly Donnie Yen's Silent Wolf is a minor role, demanding little from the actor. He does feature prominently in the film’s two best fight sequences, one staged on a frozen lake, but even these pale in comparison to anything Yen or Yuen - whether in their past collaborations or separately - have produced in the past. Not even Yen’s star power and current success in Ip Man 3 can save Sword of Destiny from being categorised as a wasted opportunity.

So no surprises here.

Did Netflix change their billing structure? We have a basic combo membership (dvd's mailed to us and streaming) but I got a weird message last night that two screens were in use at the time I logged on and they wanted $4 a month to add a screen. They are on the verge of being dropped in my household ...

Watch: Will Arnett Untangles His Past In Trailer For Netflix Series 'Flaked'

Set in the insular world of Venice, California, Flaked centers on Chip, a celebrated self-appointed "guru" who falls for the object of his best friend's fascination. Soon the tangled web of half-truths and semi-bull**** that underpins his all-important image and sobriety begins to unravel. Arnett plays Chip, a man doing his honest best to stay one step ahead of his own lies.

Looks kinda Californication. Am I the only one who dislikes Arnett? Come on...I can't possibly be...

I like him in smaller roles or as part of an ensemble just fine (Arrested Development, Blades of Glory, etc). Not sure I've ever seen him as the main guy in anything I thought was that great.

The Best Movies on Amazon Prime Right Now
http://collider.com/best-movies-on-amazon-prime/#fargo

There are some TERRIFIC choices on here. You ALL should watch Bone Tomahawk. One of the best flicks from the year past. And anytime someone throws some love to Batman: The Movie and Big Trouble in Little China, well, that tickles my Elmo.
Thief is on that list as well! Darn fine movie that I need to re-watch!
