Gah! I just started The Punisher a short time ago. Almost finished with it, lol. And then I'll start Jessica Jones season 2. I still haven't decided if I should watch The Defenders. I mainly want to because Sigourney Weaver is in it. I don't have any interest in Iron Farce, I mean Fist. Ha!

So it'll be a while until I get to Cage season two, which hands down had the best music from all these series. Hopefully, that continues. Well, that and a good story, of course. ;)

The Defenders is suuuuper Iron Fist-heavy (unfortunately) but was still enjoyable. All of the characters interacting with each other was great.

I'll give The Defenders a go then. :good:

Since it came out before Jessica Jones season 2, I'll have to watch it first. I don't mind Iron Fist per se, is just that his solo series got such bad reviews and nothing that I heard told me that I should check it out. It's all about practicality at this point. I am behind, so I can either spend that time watching Iron Fist or getting to the second season of Jessica Jones. ;)

The knight of flowers is awful at kung fu

I know you heathens don't care, but Bojack Horseman is coming back for season 5 on September 14.

Awe, claws, so sad. Yeah, my cartoon watching is limited to Bob's Burgers* and my Will Arnett shows are limited to AD and Flaked. Which, i can rationalize away by saying i guess i'll watch AD to its bitter end and i used to live in Santa Monica back in the day, so that niche "Venice humor" in Flaked hits all the right spots. *shurgs*

Have fun with your drunk horse show, tho.

Bob's Burgers: Life goal, to be as happy as any of those characters are on a normal day, even Teddy.

I really need to catch up. I think the last episode I watched was the underwater one. After that, I had to take a break to let it digest, because I liked it so much. Then, I forgot to go back! Haha!

Anyway, Bojack is a gem. Highbrow, lowbrow, smart, stupid, real, surreal. Really gets everything right most of the time. One of the best shows, animated or otherwise on any platform, IMO.

Maybe I should check out Flaked, having been a SM resident back in the day myself. And I used to live right up against the Fox lot, so I was used to seeing the stair car right outside my window. I'm a bit disappointed in the current season of AD. Again. *sigh*

Bojack is currently holding down the No. 1 spot in santiclaws' "Best Shows on TV" list.

Nice. I was at 6th and Ashland. And am positive I've been kicked out of the Circle Bar (through no fault of my own, obviously), good times.

Flaked was recommended by my friend who watches everything (she and JD would have so much to talk about) by saying hey, this show is about that douchie place you used to live, you'll like it. She wasn't wrong on either front. It may be a little slow and sad for most but that's mixed with bros broing-down for comedy's sake. So, if that's not your jam, avoid it.

AD I'm still processing but think I hate it. David cross pushed me past my limit of painful nonsense. But I'll revisit if others want to nerd out.

I used to have a regular roller game in a parking lot of an elementary school a couple of blocks from there. The lot doesn't even exist anymore, it's grass now. John Muir, I think. I've never been to the Circle Bar. Me and the guys I played with used to go to the Oar House. They had purposely confusing signs for the men's and the ladies' rooms. I won an argument with a woman in the men's room by pointing out the urinals.

Whoa. That's weird. Yup, that elementary school is on 4th & Ashland, glad we both enjoyed our time there. Thanks Santa Monica for the hospitality and for Will Arnett (rightfully) making fun of it.

Are discussions of documentaries allowed? A 13-part, Peabody-winning documentary (it won the Peabody when it was only an 8-part documentary in 2004) about a murder case which drags on for 15+ years. Do not watch if you want to have certainty or to retain faith in the criminal justice system. Otherwise, it is superb.
