All Things:NETFLIX

When the sun inexplicably starts killing everything and everyone in its path, a few ‘lucky’ passengers and crew of an overnight flight out of Brussels try to survive as they fly west - into the night.

Giri/Haji is Japanese for "Duty/Shame." Stumbled across it and holy **** is it good. A violent yakuza gangster film, an English police procedural, a love story (or two), a coming-of-age story, a family drama with a strained marriage, a willful teen and sibling rivalry. Even a bit of a road buddy picture (with three Japanese women). Could have been an absolute mess with lesser talent, but it all comes together remarkably well. Terrific writing, tight direction, great actors, sharp dialogue and some acerbic humor. The characters are three-dimensional and no one is dumb. Many of the supporting characters get quite a bit of development and a chance to shine.

-We're not bad people. We just did bad things.
-Is there really a difference?

I can't compare it to any show I've ever seen because I don't think I've seen a show like this one. A richly deserved 100% on RT. You should check it out.

I wasn't planning on sharing this but screw it. I thought is was too good that I had to do it.

I had heard about South Korean dramas being so good from several people. This series popped up on Netflix. I read the plot and it is about a South Korean woman who accidentally finds herself in North Korea. I thought that it could be an interesting story. It is ultimately a love story with several subplots. Although there is some silliness with some characters, they also have some redeeming qualities. For some reason, I was getting dust in my eyes while watching this. I need to keep the house a little more dust free.

Thanks for the recommendation on this! I'm mid-episode 2 and found myself instantly drawn in.

I just hate the way Netflix doesnt number the episodes. I ended up watching out of order and when they mentioned previous episodes I didnt get the references.

That’s what happened to me when I started watching Black Mirror. I mistakenly started watching in season 5 & I thought this is a pretty good show. Then I went back & watched from the beginning & I didn’t like it as much.

Crazyhead was a trip that I really enjoyed. Described as:

Amy and Raquel attempt to navigate their way through the choppy waters of their early twenties whilst simultaneously kicking the ass of some seriously gnarly demons. What could possibly go wrong?

British show that mixes in quite a bit of comedy with the whole demon thing. Only 6 episodes so super easy to get through. Bummed I found out it was canceled way back when!

Last Days of American Crime: Why The Netflix Movie's Reviews Are All Negative
https://screenrant.com/last-days-american-crime-reviews-bad-reason-explained/

Because this move is UNWATCHABLE. Got to the halfway point of a 2 and a freaking half hour movie...and quit. I NEVER do that. It's MUMBLEcore with disinterested narrators trying to cram in this really convoluted story that actually has some interesting ideas. SOOOOOOO much about this movie is just awful. I was stoned to the gills and I couldn't even manage a mercy watch or a hate watch. This is a 2 and a HALF hour wormhole...save yourselves.

I suffered through the whole thing. Yeah it was pretty bad.
