All Things: San Diego Comic-Con

There are a few nice Funko items, but that booth is such a chore. Better to pay a little more and buy from an adjacent booth with a mark up. I have to go to the NECA booth for those Planet of the Apes figures...that's where the Mrs. Voorhees is too...so we can swing by there hopefully on preview night. Yeah, I am trying...like last year, to not get caught up in buying a ton of stuff. But, it's early...I am sure they will announce some stuff that'll catch your eye.

I might have found one...

THIS I need.

I realize this is still not being communicated correctly. I'm saying I wouldn't want to hear any of it that night and it might drive me to my hotel room instead of waiting in line.

Just shove a pair o'these in yer ears and get over Zayn leaving already.

Cool news that I know you'll be excited about. The Muppets are going to have a panel at SDCC this year. Hopefully it's Thursday morning but I know it won't be. It'll be at a horrible time that creates problems. :)

Also, Agents of Shield and Agent Carter are going on Friday in Ballroom 20 surprisingly. Could we maybe see GoT showing up in Hall H on Thursday this year?

Also, this sounds fun:

The Autobiography of James T. Kirk | William Shatner will make a special guest appearance and read excerpts from The Autobiography of James T. Kirk, as James T. Kirk himself. (Ballroom 20)

Not a chance. You can all but ship Friday for Game/Walking Dead...that's the way it's been for years and I don't expect it to change. Both of those are really worth seeing this year.

I know it's a long shot. Out of curiosity, why do you think GoT is going to be worth it this year? I'm STILL not caught up with TWD so I probably should get it done.

Game will be a good panel because George ain't supposed to be there. He is a serious drain. And hopefully Ramsey Bolton will be, affording the crowd to boo like we never got with Joffrey. Walking Dead because...NERGAN is probably gonna get introduced. And that's pretty cool.

Munky King Toys posted a picture on Instagram of a custom Jon Paul Kaiser figure called Screaming for the Sunrise by Yoskay Yamamoto and it will be available at their booth at San Diego Comic-Con.

Don't know how much they want for that...but I need it.

Interesting:

http://variety.com/2015/film/news/marvel-sony-and-paramount-all-skipping-comic-con-1201523593/

No Paramount this year. No Sony either. Guess that means no TMNT 2 or Mission Impossible. No Spiderman announcement either. There's a lot of space on Saturday in Hall H as well as a slot or two on Friday. Now I'm really curious what's going to be filling out in there.

THURS: Hunger Games, Doctor Who, the rest to be determined
FRI: Star Wars, 20th Century Fox, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, another spot or two, Kevin Smith (maybe he does Sat but earlier?)
SAT: Warner Bros, Legendary, probably GDT?, lots of room, Superhero night thing @8
SUN: Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Scream Queens, FX Panel

**** em. Already too much. Marvel looks silly...like they blinked. Lack of content didn't stop them from being a non event last year. **** em...dats... What I t'ink...

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA....

http://sdccblog.com/2015/06/warner-bros-home-entertainment-set-to-rock-and-roll-at-sdcc-2015/

On Thursday, attendees can finish out the day in Hall H with the world premiere of Scooby Doo! and KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery panel at 6PM, along with panelists Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer, Eric Singer, Pauley Perrette, Grey Griffin, Matthew Lillard, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, directors/producers Tony Cervone & Spike Brandt, and writer Kevin Shinick. Starchild, Demon, Catman and Spaceman join everyone’s favorite teen sleuths in an explosive, new, must-see musical adventure no KISS Army member will want to miss.

Get your tomatoes ready...

Then, Adult Swim takes to the stage, with fan favorites Aqua Teen Hunger Force for a special farewell panel, as well as a special look at Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell from 12:15PM-1PM. After that, it’s Rick and Morty with creator Dan Harmon and cast members/writer Ryan Ridley at 1:15, Mike Tyson Mysteries with Mike Tyson at 2PM, and Robot Chicken along with Seth Green, Matthew Senreich, Tim Root, and Breckin Meyer at 3:15PM.

Crap. Rick and Morty is a huge draw and it may keep us out of Robot Chicken/Mike Tyson. Friday is Star Wars day, so depending on how that breaks it may be a moot point.

That's basically what happened last year isn't it? Though, it feels like it was later in the day? All I remember is those girls at the pool, that poor girl in the catwoman outfit, and how miserable we were until hitting that sweet, SWEET air conditioning.

Last year they had that Triumph panel too, strangely absent this year...

Read some speculation that Marvel/Netflix may announce a block on Thursday(?) in Hall H. I don't see it happening, I think Marvel is gonna ride this one out entirely except for their troubled tv shows that, quite frankly, could use the hype.
