The floor/vendor lines were cleared up by the Hunger Games lottery in Sails pavillion...but neither of us saw the potential carnage up there. And, judging by the nightmare we got caught up in...I can't really say that the organization was any more on point than usual. They did get a few things right, but because they were lax/disorganized/confused/non communicative the same problems that plagued years past reared up again. Thursday Night's Hall H line, from all accounts, was a demonstration of how well things could go. But Friday was the Goofus to that Gallant.
 
This year the foot traffic from the Convention Hall seemed kinda lighter than years past. Previews was the usual crap show, but even the first say 5 mins there wasn't a mad dash. Our booth was located in the 2000s and looked like most of the action was down the other end of the hall, probably for Funko.

This year's Funko Fundays was a lot more controlled than last year's. Everyone walked out with at least 4 to 5 things from the event. No more standing on chairs and acting like complete morons for free funko stuff lol.
 
so...the Chargers are leaving San Diego. Does that mean that now that's out of the way, true progress can be made in expanding the Convention center?

What’s most interesting to us about this news is that several representatives for EXPO Logic told us a few weeks ago that they weren’t currently contracted to work with CCI this year. Considering how delayed everything has been, we’ve been thinking that they were moving to a new system. Since they’re not, does that mean that CCI attempted a new system and tested it extensively, found it lacking, and decided to go back to EXPO? Or does it mean that these late badge sales are just “the new normal”?
