All Things: San Diego Comic-Con

Neil Gaiman was just added to the Special Guests section on the page. Now, does that usually mean they're doing some sort of panel or what? I usually haven't ever looked into that...but I'm kinda excited about him being there.

probably just signing...but who knows. Depends if there is something in the works or a big announcement type thing @ one of the DC panels.

Maybe he's just going to talk about Sandman Zero?

That better not be his only So. Cal trip for this "last tour" he's doing, or I'm'a cut a bitch.

Due to Marvel being bought by Di$ney they have really pulled back their profile on all other cons except for the big Disney shindig later in the year. They only grudgingly go to SDCC at this point, most of the heavy hitter/big reveals are reserved for their in-house showcase.

I could see that, but I would think that comics, though not as lucrative as a movie, would be a large part. Ah well, I ain't going to D23 for the life of me. I might be a dork, but not a Disney Dork
 
Man they are gonna pull out all the stops this year though. Just imagine what they have gotta be lining up as far as Star Wars. Hell, they are going to own EVERYTHING at some point so you are only putting off the inevitable...
 
Pretty happy with the Wonder-Con lineup. BoobyTrap and I are bringing two friends who aren't really into comics much to the show all three days and I was worried they might not have much to do, but there's plenty of good sci-fi/television panels happening to keep them busy.

Liking a lot of the names of people appearing, as well. Really looking forward to getting Steranko to sign some hardcovers. Those are going to be prize possessions, baby!
 
Well, I will be the giant dweeb with all of the TMNT stuff since my son is addicted to that, Batman, and the big name Marvel comics (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, etc). I will be picking up my badge Thursday night and will check out if there is anything cool.

That's ok, I'm going to be carrying around big, heavy bags of 50% off trade paperbacks all weekend. :)
 
Adgy...sweet we can cosplay and go as the TMNT and use the shells as backpacks...okay, I was kidding about the Cosplay part, but they do have TMNT shell backpacks (only reason I know is cause my son saw one and nearly flipped cause he thought it was so cool...ya hear that Mr. Hipster who bought it at Hot Topics)
