All Things:Science Fiction/Fantasy

The definitive version will always be the Alan Smithee version.

That Smithee dude makes a lot of bad movies, but every now and then, he will still get another job.

Personally, I am waiting for a Blade Runner that has a Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer and Edward James Olmos Pizza & Beer Party Commentary.

Here’s a look at Captive State‘s official synopsis:

Captive State is a sci-fi thriller set in a Chicago neighborhood nearly a decade after it has been occupied by an extraterrestrial force. Captive State uses a grounded sci-fi setting to shine light on the modern surveillance state and the threats to civil liberties and the role of dissent within an authoritarian society.

Surprisingly, I've seen 50% of these.

Surprised that...you saw that many or that few?

I've seen a few. I want to watch that Terminal Mam movie. I read the Michael Crichton novel and enjoyed it, so I am curious about the film adaptation. Oh, and Dark Star is pretty amusing and impressive considering how low budget it was.

And Time After Time is worth watching to see Malcolm McDowell play a more subdued role that isn't a psychopath, haha, plus it shares the title of a Cindi Lauper song. And another movie on that list that shares similarities with a musical artist?

SO futuristic, haha!

You HAVE to see The Terminal Man, Orphy!! It is a great movie, and an even better book. Time After Time is one of my sister's favorite movies. I don't love it, but it is good.

I feel like I maybe saw "Slipstream" in the theater? The premise seems like I have a memory of it. I am bad about completely forgetting movies about 25 minutes after I leave the theater, so it has to really make an impression on me for me to remember it.
