All Things:SHOWTIME

Kinda lurid. Definitely geared for shock and awe...but Spurlock is, and has always been, a nice everyman kind of anchor in a world of wtf. So it's a nice little pseudo doc. Oh, and based on 7 deadly sins, so there is that.

Just finished Penny Dreadful. It's very well done. Great writing/acting. The Frankenstein story really sucked me in.

New Episodes of Twin Peaks to Air on Showtime in 2016

Twin Peaks creators David Lynch and Mark Frost both tweeted “Dear Twitter Friends: That gum you like is going to come back in style. #damngoodcoffee” last week and now we know why. A new Twin Peaks video just popped up on YouTube, and on the official Showtime channel nonetheless. It’s been 23 years since the final episode of the show’s second season aired on ABC, but in 2016, Showtime will bring it back.

According to the brief promo, the new iteration will pick up 25 years after the original run wrapped up. Lynch and Frost are busy writing the scripts and Lynch is also set to direct all nine episodes as well. Hit the jump for more on Showtime’s Twin Peaks.

twin-peaks-entire-mystery-blu-ray-4Showtime just made the official announcement; Twin Peaks will go into production in 2015 and will debut in 2016 to coincide with the 25th anniversary of when the show last aired. This will not be a remake or reboot. It’ll take place in present day and run with plot points that were developed in the first two seasons while “providing long-awaited answers for the series’ passionate fan base.”

as a die hard fan of the original I couldn't be happier. And Showtime to boot, so they can go farther. Just outstanding news really.

SOOO F***ING Stoked to hear this! Best news of the week!

My wife (girlfriend then) and I are HUGE fans of the show. Some of my best memories of us dating were curling up on the couch with a glass of wine and watching TP (and Northern Exposure, ftm).

Oh, and look what I just found and bought>>>
Amazon.com: Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery [Blu-ray]: Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Ontkean, Richard Beymer, Lara Flynn Boyle, Madchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook: Movies & TV

Ive held out buying the VHS and/or DVD box sets for years waiting for something like a blu-ray or better format. They finally released in last July!

Soooo Happy!

anyone watch Homeland? this show is infinitely better without all of the Brody family drama bringing it down.

Good to hear, haven't been able to watch the double episode premiere yet, but thanks for the quick review.

I was going to go into more detail but didn't want to spoil anything. Definitely worth watching if you liked the first season.
