All Things: Streaming TV Options

Thinking of trying this or Hulu next as soon as my last month with DirecTVNow is over. DTVNow has been terrible.

I canceled DirecTVNow last week when they announced price hikes. It was only ok for me but kept it due to me being an early subscriber and receiving the upper tier package for the price of the lowest tier package. I finally decided I had had enough. I have been looking at YouTubeTV and hear good things about it. Depending on what you watch, you can supplement the missing channels on YouTubeTV with Philo TV for $16-$20/mo if needed (44-57 channels).

Do you know if you can see while fast forwarding recorded shows on YouTubeTV or is it like DTVNow where it just pauses on the last screen?

I don't have an answer to that so I had to ask on another forum. Someone said that on the AppleTV that there are thumbnails. That is the only answer I have so far. I will probably subscribe to YouTubeTV eventually but not right now.

and the stock is running wild!

The Simpsons, Star Wars, Marvel, are all good, but what I want to know is will this service finally allow us to watch Song of the South on the up and up?

That price is low enough for a lot of people to at least give it a good. Well played, Disney.

YouTubeTV is raising their price to $50 per month, a 43% price hike. I bailed on that.

'Song of the South,' 'Dumbo's' Jim Crow Scene Will Not Be on Disney+

The company also doesn't plan to include a scene from the 1941 animated film Dumbo featuring a crow named Jim Crow, a reference to a 19th century blackface character that later became the name of the segregation laws enacted following the Reconstruction era.

I was joking about Disney+ having Song of the South.

But deleting that crow Dumbo scene is overkill.

Hypocrisy. :fpalm:

Binged watched season 2 of Cobra Kai and it was great. Season 1 was 10 out of 10 and season 2 was 9 out 10. If you liked The Karate Kid (1984), then you will love this series.
