Ash vs. Evil Dead Casts Sleepy Hollow Guest Star As Female Lead

Jill Marie Jones, best known from the TV series Girlfriends and appearing as Cynthia Irving on Sleepy Hollow for two seasons, has been announced as Bruce Campbell’s co-star in the upcoming 10-part Starz series Ash vs. Evil Dead. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jones will play “Amanda Fisher, a disgraced Michigan state trooper who, following the grisly murder of her partner, sets out to find Ash and prove his responsibility for the crime. But as she soon learns, Ash and his cohorts may be mankinds only hope against the plague of the evil dead.”

Jones’ casting comes on the heels of the announcement that Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo will round out the cast as Ash’s sidekicks. Sam Raimi will direct the pilot and produce alongside Campbell and Bob Tapert.

If you have time to check out this week's episode of "The Goldbergs," do yourself a favor and do so. It was an awesome ode to John Hughes and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

It's like reliving my childhood every episode.
Barry "big tasty" Goldberg is definitely Cam in this episode!

This ‘SNL’ Sketch About ISIS Is Being Called ‘Depraved’ And ‘Vile’

Not sure if SNL can't be the same as the old days by being edgy/dangerous due to the reactions you get in today's sensitive society or, they have avoided doing anything like this for so long that it's jarring when they finally do. Or is it a little column A a little column B. Was the skit insensitive, yes. Was it funny, meh...but it wasn't safe. Was nice to see SNL going for it for a change.

Brendan Fraser Wears Braids in First TEXAS RISING Photo; Plus See Cast Portraits

Everything is bigger in Texas, including Brendan Fraser‘s hair. Or at least, the braided wig they’ve put him in. The cast for History’s eight-hour miniseries Texas Rising is also huge. The series will focus on the rise of the Texas Rangers following the Alamo, and stars Bill Paxton as the legendary Sam Houston, alongside Brendan Fraser, Ray Liotta, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Olivier Martinez, Thomas Jane, Christopher McDonald, Jeremy Davies, Chad Michael Murray, Max Thieriot, Robert Knepper, Rhys Coiro, Crispin Glover, Jeff Fahey, Rob Morrow, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, and Kris Kristofferson.

Kris Kristofferson! I’m in. (Seriously, what a great and sort of completely strange cast).

According to History,

The Alamo was not the end of the story, it was only the beginning, and TEXAS RISING details what followed in the fight for an independent Texas. In 1836, west of the Mississippi was considered the Wild West and the Texas frontier was viewed as hell on earth. With colliding cultures all fighting for stakes to this territory, no one was safe. But this was a time of bravery, a time to die for what you believed in and a time to stand tall against the fierce Mexican General Santa Anna. General Sam Houston, the rag tag Rangers and the legendary “Yellow Rose of Texas,” lead this story of the human will to fight for freedom despite insurmountable odds and to claim a piece of history for all eternity.

Man, helluva cast.
