All Things:Video Game Movies

the footage at SDCC was spectacular. Either they dressed that up beyond what is being shown in the none too impressive ads, or it just isn't translating through the tv/computer like it did on the enormous state of the art multiscreen presentation. But, I did want to see it at one point...it's freaking almost what? 4 years in the making?

That movie is going to get an entire board fired the Monday after it is released. Possibly Saturday.

Dwayne Johnson Reveals ‘Rampage’ Details, Proves That He is the Busiest Human Being Alive

Johnson revealed that Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal, the creators of the new television show Colony, have been hired to pen a new draft of Rampage. Cuse is perhaps best known for his work on Lost and Bates Motel, but he also wrote San Andreas, the disaster movie where he somehow resisted the temptation to write a scene where the Rock literally punches an earthquake.

Since Johnson mentions spending time at the San Diego Wildlife Preserve and hanging out with anti-poaching units in Africa, we can safely assume that he’ll be an animal expert called in to take down the creatures going on that titular rampage.

Sonic The Hedgehog Feature On Its Way

In an interview with The World Folio, Hajime Satomi, the president and CEO of Sega Sammy Holdings, mentioned a Sonic the Hedgehog feature is still in development at Sony Pictures. “Sega Sammy Group is currently planning with Sony Pictures to create a live-action and animation hybrid Sonic the Hedgehog movie scheduled for release in 2018,” he said. “Like with this CG animation production, we would like to expand our business into other entertainment areas beyond what we are currently involved.”

Because why not?

Will Urkel be doing the voice again? ;)

New ?Warcraft? Trailer Brings Humans and Orcs Together to Save the World

So you don't have to actually go to the article. Weird...when they did the presentation on the triple screens in Hall H, this footage looked so much better. Might be because those were state of the art screens with, I assume amazing projection. On the computer, it loses a LOT. Maybe in a theater there will be a happy medium. Seems kind of pointless to try to expand the visual effects/filming techniques, when the standard projection is not up to snuff. It was an issue with Hateful 8, and I keep reading how Ang Lee's new movie is visually gamebreaking, but only with projection equipment that is not going to be available for regular viewing.
Also, as much as I want Duncan Jones to have another hit, and fulfill the promise of Moon...this don't look like it. Shame, because he has spent what???? 4 years working on it?

Right now I'd prefer it Duncan Hines had another hit, because I am hungry!
