Sadly, Dix Denney of The Weirdos has passed away. Denney founded the band with his brother John in 1975 and are considered one of the most important LA punk bands of all time. The band released the iconic Destroy All Music

I bought a few operas off him from his eBay store and it took two weeks to go 13 blocks... We were both laughing at how bad the postal service gets here in Las Vegas... He said it would have gotten there sooner if he walked to the apartment complex and left it in the office... He asked me if I wanted anything else and I mentioned a certain composer that took him by surprise... I got a package from his lawyer yesterday and it was filled to the brim of CDs from three German composers that are truly unknown in the US...including those of Werner Egk (which was who I originally chose)... I only had one of the recordings...Marchner's Hans Heiling...but looked over the cast...only two minor character changes...but the same leads...

I know it's too late to say thank you to him for expanding my opera collection...but he knew I was an opera lover from way back...
