I wish I could UNlike this post...

I actually was awarded a medal from Ringling Bros. for a stint I did with them in the fall of 1987 (as sort of a ginger tom cat clown)... I was the junior member of a troupe of entertainers that joined the circus for that three month stint...and I was the ONLY one that got the medal... This meant that I had to eat with the performers as well as sleep in the designated area...and not comfy in a hotel room... You were encouraged to try as much as possible...but I had trouble with the juggling and balancing upside down on various objects... I was surprised that I was good on the high wire...even with a bad knee and a fear of heights...and NO NET... Somewhere in the middle of the trip...I was up there with my bagpipes doing a pibroch at 5AM...

The medal basically states that if I produce this in front of the owner of another circus anywhere in the world...I would automatically get a job...even if it's cleaning up after the animal acts...

What an awesome adventure.

'NCIS: Los Angeles' star Miguel Ferrer dies at 61
https://www.yahoo.com/tv/ncis-los-angeles-star-miguel-ferrer-dies-61-220227499.html

CBS said Ferrer died Thursday of cancer at his Los Angeles home. He was 61.

He had played assistant director Owen Granger on "NCIS: Los Angeles" since 2012. Before that, he played the chief medical examiner and gruff-but-supportive boss to series star Jill Hennessy for the six seasons of "Crossing Jordan."

A native of Santa Monica, California, Ferrer was the son of Academy Award-winning actor Jose Ferrer and singer-actress Rosemary Clooney, and a cousin of George Clooney, who issued a statement Thursday afternoon.

Oh, that's very sad. He was a terrific character actor in The Stand, The Night Flier and just about every television show. The definition of working actor. He was always a favorite of mine, and yeah...his Bob Morton was about as 80's king sleaze as it gets. He will be missed.

This one sucks. Loved her in the Dick Van Dyke show as Laura Petrie. Growing up I thought she was one of the most beautiful women in the world from that show!

Once heard a story where she pulled a great practical joke on Van Dyke. The script called for him to burst in on her while she was supposed to be bathing in a tub. The camera shot was behind her, over her shoulder, to see his face in the door. As the story went she was fully nude in the tub and that was the practical joke on Dick. :smoke::bananadance:

She once joked on Letterman that she was asked if his real name was Dick Van Dyke. She replied that it was a stage name and his real name was Penis Van Lesbian.

"Mike Connors, a heavy-browed supporting actor who would ultimately put his stamp on several television series, most notably the long-running detective show “Mannix,” died on Thursday in Tarzana, Calif. He was 91.

Variety quoted his son-in-law Mike Condon as saying that Mr. Connors had leukemia."
