He was pals with Chris Cornell, who's birthday happens to be today.

I'm an old fart so I didn't realize the intro song to one of my favorite radio programs was Linkin Park. The host played the whole song at the beginning of the program. I was impressed with the music, and the host was saddened. I've listened to a bunch of Linkin Park today. Damn good music.

I haven't been on this site for over a week. But yeah, the George Romero death hit me pretty hard. I have been a fan of his pretty much most of my life. How I got away with watching his movies as a kid is something else.

I'll re-post here what I posted about Romero in a horror forum.

I have been watching Romero's Zombies films since I was probably too young to be doing so. But I really didn't know of the man until I watched this Scream Greats VHS (HA!) on Tom Savini that included plenty of footage and interviews with Romero. Seemed way too nice of a guy to be directing movies where people are torn apart.

It was a great ride and I wish it would've lasted longer. Thank you for all the scares and I promise that I will get to that the only one of your movies that I never saw, Knightriders. Farewell, Mr. Romero. RIP.

Speaking of screams, Chester Bennington was in one of the Saw movies and used his great scream in it. I remember only realizing it was him when I heard it.

I just rewatched the episodes of The Sopranos that John Heard appeared in this week.

Heard was a great actor...check out Cutter's Way

Side fun fact, Cutter's Way was filmed on a set in a lot that was across the street from our 1st house just after we were married. We got paid a fee cause out house appeared on screen as well as my wife and I appear in a crowd shot. The scene is when Jeff Bridges finds a car blocking his driveway so he backs up then rams his way into the driveway sending the car out of the way then the cops arrive. Met John & Jeff briefly but being 22 was much more enthralled by Lisa Eichhorn.
